i agree
tbh most of the decktypes people say get nuked by block, not only have a fair chance of getting their key cards reprinted...but they werent competitive to begin with. certainly not something you would take into a chuunin+ tournement <the only time block even matters> considering it costs slightly more and the prizes are so much better you generally want to do well >_>
and every set that comes out where said ecktypes dont get much/any support is basically saying "dont play this deck" anyway. really block isnt doing ANYTHING but keeping problem cards away

So 1 day of playing you can use your favorite deck theme so what just man up and deal with it for that one time. Ive got plenty of decks that are not block ready but if I was to play a block event I would just make or fix up another deck there are plenty of good cards that will work to replace the old ones for the event.

because honestly? im not 100% sure mot of the anti block people fully understand that it doesnt effect academy/genin events...the events the average player goes to. it only effects actual competitive events. theres no reason you can't play any deck you want in the vast majority of tournements. it hardly chips away their fun. it almost seems that, for some, they are whining for the sake of whining combined with a lack of understanding
