Naruto CCG "Block" Format

To all Naruto Collectible Card Game players,

Effective as of January 1st, 2010 the “Block” format is now introduced to the Naruto CCG. This format consists of the latest “4 to 6” Naruto CCG Series, and can be used at all Official Bandai Premiere Level tournaments.

This format joins the ranks of the original “Unlimited” Format where all cards in Naruto CCG are legal for play and “Modified” formats such as Sealed and draft.

Below is a tentative “Block” Format schedule for the 2010-2011 tournament seasons:
January-May “Chunin” Tournaments (Series 11-Series 16)

(June - August & Gen Con Indy 2010 “Shonen Jump” Nationals Tournament) Series 11-17 & Naruto CCG Hobby Tournament Pack

(September – December) Series 15, Series 16, Series 17, Series 18, & Naruto CCG Hobby Tournament Pack

(January – April) Series 15, Series 16, Series 17, Series 18, Series 19, & Naruto CCG Hobby Tournament Pack

(May – August & Gen Con Indy 2011 “Shonen Jump” Nationals Tournament) Series 15-20 & Naruto CCG Hobby Tournament Pack

In addition to the cards in the Series, other cards such as Promos, “Block” Format legal reprints will be legal in addition to the set. The list of these “Block” Format legal cards can be found below.

“Block” Format Legal Reprint & Promo List

The Bandai Organized Play permits the use of cards from sets that are not legal in the “Block” format, as long as those cards have been reprinted in a “Block” format legal set as well as the corresponding Starters that accompany a “Block” format legal set. In addition, “Block” format legal reprints can be found from the follow sources, including but not limited to Tin reprints, OP exclusive reprints, Hobby Exclusive Packs, etc.

When a Series is removed from the current block, all cards found in Starters, promos, etc. that were released during the same period of time are removed from the block as well, and this list will reflect those changes.

This list can be modified with a new product release, so please refer to it regularly when building your deck for Official Bandai “Naruto CCG” Premier level “Block” format tournaments.
