My Ideas for Hand Cost

okay so i was thinking and for the generals that arent so great in this format.

FOR THE BAD ONES:
they would have their Hand Cost go up by 1 each time they die. So it would be 1 then 2 then 3. The maximum for the bad generals is 3.

FOR THE GOOD ONES:
They would have their Hand Cost go up by 2 each time they die. So it would be 2 then 4. The maximum hand cost on the good generals would be 4. So while it is still hard to accomplish that it makes redeploying a broken general a little tough, yet possible.

Any general i don't list in the following list for generals with +2 Hand Cost and a maximum of 4 is considered to be a part of the list for generals with +1 Hand Cost and a maximum of 3.

I don't really like the idea of a cap for the handcost increase. This is only because of the fact that if an EDH deck is meant to use the General as a centerpiece (which it IS), then people should be rewarded for devoting resources into killing off their opponents generals. I know I felt good when I was able to knock out someone's already 1 HC general twice and have them have to pay a ton of cards to play him again.

At the same time, it balances with the only +1 handcost per extra time being played. People wanting to get rid of your general is worth giving them a chance to more easily replaying it, but at the same time, that increased ease of playing it is kept in check by having no extra HC cap so that if someone really devoted their jutsu and effects to killing your general, they get something out of it.

Since you guys are banning the Fastest Ones does this mean that anything that would refer to 10 BRs also refer to 15 or 20 BRs?

i.e.

10 BRs in standard = 20 BRs in EDH


BTW, it feels weird using the term standard....

i dont like the idea of the different handcosts....
its your choice to pick the general, deal with it.......
its just more rules to remember...............
its generally(see what i did there?) not needed......
and to top it off, why cant we all be equal?

the reason i would like different HC is because removal is limited and some generals has many baaaroken effects. and going up +1 for some seems a little dumb.

Maybe force them to give up BR's along with the +1 HC so that way there's a greater penalty for spamming PiP Generals.
