Series 13 Preview Poll

Although, its still a bit early of I thought players would enjoy a heads start on choosing Set 13's preview order. Set 13 "Fateful Reunion" is a fantastic Set that will shake up the Naruto CCG like no Set before it. Take our poll and see what will be shown first!

The following 3 Sites has been given previews for Set 13:

4) CCG Universe

Previews for the official website, pojo, and tradecardsonline will begin approx. 5 weeks before Set 13's release date. A definitive time is t.b.d, the Podcast previews will begin shortly. Till then, enjoy making your fantastic Series 12 decks!!

P.S: If you site wasn't granted previews this time make sure to try again next Set. From Set 12 onwards we will be cycling sites in and out to lower the number of sites being given previews (less confusion for other players) and numerous other sites that have been waiting to recieve some to actually get them. So simply if you recieved previews for Set 12 you won't be getting previews till Set 14 (only exception is the Podcast & pojo.com) Thanks for your understanding.

I went for water since it was 1 of my competitive elements I used. Its not like its neglected, but since no element is negleted entirely (except maybe Wind and not by much), its sorta in the air. This will be one interesting preview season. I just hope Bandai dosent do nothing to kill this "peaceful" meta. (Unless its the hit to the OC's)

Uh, you're going to see the cards before your Kage anyway, and the cards would be fresher in your mind if they're later down the line. Besides, Earth got it first last time. >.>

Actually, I want to change my vote. Earth got its Hyuga support last set, and likely, Hyugas won't get any more support until a LOOOONG time (Shippuden uses NO characters >_>). But I hate Water, Fire needs to die, I don't like Wind, and I don't care about Lightning anymore because all it is is Emina abuse.

If I thought ahead, I probably wouldn't have voted at all. I would've done Lightning if it didn't get so generic.

wind: remainder of the puppet stuff. including 2-6 more puppets <maybe chiyo's and or sasori's jutsu with the 10 and 100 puppets respectively will be a colaboration ninja like ninja dogs all gathered, and of course a possible puppet sakura....and maybe (hey i can dream shut up) a puppet sasori =3>, several jutsus, new chiyo<s> and sasori<s>

earth: yamato mutha ****ers!!! lol he's reason alone to vote earth :p. and his jutsus...then theres probably anew deidara, and at least 1 new jutsu. mabe an alt way of putting bomb coins on ninjas

judging from the name of the set, im guessing that it totally goes far enough to see naruto/sakura seeing sasuke again, heck in that case it probably finishes the arc. even then 4 tails wasnt all that far in the arc, it happend relatively fast so its almost assured we'll get 4 tail naruto...thats 4 different tailed narutos all in one set =0

then theres the unknown stuff...i really dont think that theres a wrogn way to go in voting this time around...i mean there never really was, after all, everything gets previewed eventually, but i mean that theres so much anticopated stuff in this one set that we'll be happy no matter what...for once

though i think water will be relying a lot on good unknown stuff...orochi and kabuto are pretty much the only ninjas of note that are actually in the arc that i can remember <that along with a 50% chance of sasuke>. which is fine if they are off the charts. but the same will go for the jutsus...the missions could be alright, you can pull a mission out of any frame lol..heck you can pull a LOT of missions out of any one frame. but they've been kinda hit and miss with missions

lol ide laugh if water got not only sasuke, but gai, neji, lee, and tenten as well <because of the clones that were made> that would be so epic XD. water just keep stealing ninjas away

Wow, this poll's really neck and neck: there's only a 1-6 vote difference between 4 of the 5 elements, and Lightning's bringing up the rear.

There is one very important question I have to ask about Sasuke: will he have a Rank? Rogue Ninja isn't really a Rank, and it would really help his playability if he were Jonin.

If Sasuke is a Fire, I don't think he'll see play over OC or even COOTE even if he is Jonin. Invincibility and negation are just too good to give up.

If he's Water, then we might have something, especially if he's a T4 Jonin on account of the fact that his only competition would be Suien and Aoi, so in essence he'd have no competition:p

As for Naruto's tailed forms, just like with Fire Shippuden Sasuke I don't see how you can top invincibility, so I doubt the Tailed Forms will see play, regardless of what they do. That's probably why Lightning's dead last in the polls, isn't it?

I'm more interested in what element Sai will be, and that's because he could quite literally be any one of them save for Lightning and Earth.

The inevitable new Puppet support also interests me, primarily Sasori's true form; he's going to have to be pretty darn awesome to replace the current SR Sasori in Puppet Decks.

Yamato's another highly anticipated card. Hopefully the anticipation won't be so high that it disappoints a lot of people.

i was not basing any thought on effect from any game but from show. 4 tails is a berserk which means he attack enemy and allies.
and i figure they would give him some sort of downside like bandai gave goku ssj3 but worse since he would turn on allies in a blink of the eye.

Imma cast my vote for Water. I'm looking foward to seeing some shenanigans from Orochimaru and Kabuto. I want to make an Oro deck but with no Mandas, the deck wasn't that good. I'm hoping to see some new jutsus from Oro to make an Oro deck possible and good without Manda.

I'm hoping to see his body replacement, triple Rashoumon, and maybe his giant snake jutsu that Naruto destroyed with the swing of his arm.

Also, I'd like to put forth my opinion on two more notes.

Sasori - I don't see there being 2 SR versions of him. It'd make a lot of people mad imo because there's gonna be the one Sasori that they wanna pull and then they'll pull the other one. I'd imagine they'd make Sasori's final form SR and his Human form just Rare.

Naruto - Similar case to Sasori. I can see 4 tails being SR and maybe 2 but that's pushing it imo. I also don't think they'd even make Naruto 1 tail and Naruto 3 tails. I don't recall seeing them as cards in Japan so I'm willing to bet that Bandai won't waste their time on them.

Wow, I just realized that if we're really combining the cards obtained in Shippuden Set 3 and 4 (Sasori fight - bridge battle), and have the new US only cards put in the set, then we'll have to be at at least 21 SR's, so they're probably either going to push some cards back to the next set (as uncommon Deidara and Sasori were from Shippuden pack 1, with Naruto GP), or turn some fan favorites (Kakashi, Kabuto, Iron Sand World jutsu, chiyo, Tobi) down to rares

Thank you for being generous enough to provide proof, hahon. I did see the interview and texans07's answer saying what you said. I do have to wonder what the Water Sasuke does, and if it is actually the Shippuden Sasuke or not...

I was also pleased to see that 2 of my questions were answered (texans was mum on the 'Squad' ability). Bandai's decisions concerning erratas are a good way to go about it; wait until Jonin season is over, then if the OCs reign supreme in said Jonin season, decide what to do then, but not until then.

I also liked how texans broke down how the elements were going to be supported going forward:

Fire) Ninja Dog, Uchiha Mill, Anbu, & Mono-Fire.

Water) Sound 4, Time Control (you’ll see…), & Mono-Water.

Earth) Hyuga (Hand Control), Mental, & Mono-Earth.

Wind) Medical, Puppet, Female, Anbu, Sand, Shukaku, & Mono-Wind.

Lightning) Taijutsu, Naruto, Toad, Mon-Lightning.

I am VERY curious about exactly what Time Control is, especially since I currently run Water. i find it odd...originally uchiha/sharingan were more of the power houses and the inuzuka/dog stuff was the mill...sounds like things are shifting around

the time control, i think, makes everyone curious. the obvious answer would be that it controls the turn marker or perhaps the EC of things in the players hands. something along those lines. but what if its a different mechanic all together

1) tsukuyomi is a genjutsu. the genjutsu that itachi's mangekyou has. kakashi's tech is most certainly not genjutsu, its quite obviously ninjutsu

There are three Fire and one Water, as stated earlier in this thread. From what Texans said in his interview, I'm assuming that the water's going to be T4 (Meaning, probably, Shippuden), and the three Fire are going to be the two turn 0's and one other turn 4 (Again, probably, Shippuden). So, hate away if you wish, I'm just glad everyone who was arguing about Sasuke get what they want.*shrug*

You all proably heard this but Texans interview said that there are 4 Sasukes this set. 2 are turn 0. And 2 are turn 4. There are no State 2 Sasuke's in this set.

Gathering all this info, you can infer that:
Turn 0 Sasuke(Fire)(Pre-Shippuden)
Turn 0 Sasuke(Fire)(Pre-Shippuden)
Turn 4 Sasuke(Fire)(Shippuden-->reason: Not State 2 and a turn 4=Shippuden!)

You all proably heard this but Texans interview said that there are 4 Sasukes this set. 2 are turn 0. And 2 are turn 4. There are no State 2 Sasuke's in this set.

Gathering all this info, you can infer that:
Turn 0 Sasuke(Fire)(Pre-Shippuden)
Turn 0 Sasuke(Fire)(Pre-Shippuden)
Turn 4 Sasuke(Fire)(Shippuden-->reason: Not State 2 and a turn 4=Shippuden!)
Turn 4 Sasuke(Water)(Shippuden)

ok i doubt they are going to go THAT far...if they started making haku jutsus that cost wind/water and wood that cost earth/water then they bwould be killing trees for no reason...and judging from the new reaper death seal, it looks like bandai has learned their lesson about killing trees for no reason lol


changing the people is one thing, and i guess changing things like lightning blade to lightning wouldnt be tht bad...but changing the kekkei genkai moves to match the duel elements would just be a waste. for an example look at the naruto/gaara platoon...if it was just 2 chakra it would be alright, but because they split the cost, its bad. and they wouldnt ban them just to get people to use bad cards, that would be stupid =/

from what i can gather, ALL ninjutsu uses an element, but kakashi and yamato never got a chance to explain it to naruto when he asked.

ok so then lets ban every power creeped card so we are left with weaker versions. thats stupid, and bandai wont do it. i mean why not ban R&R chidori and all the other chidori's to make me use the ER chidori <which is such epic fail>. in fact it wouldnt make me use anything since i just wouldnt play chidori in that case. banning cards for that reason makes no sense unless the other version of the card they are trying to promote us to play is worth palying, even then its a stupid idea. there will always be cards that will never be used in regular play <maybe by people in with a fun deck,. or with noobs who dont know better, or with people who simply dont have a lot of cards, and ths, not a lot of options>

the difference is that, though i dont completely buy it, a lightning kakashi is technically plausable depending on how you interpret texans interview, meaning lightning has a user for the lightning blade thats lightning. however if you make liquid bullets water, haku's jutsus <which nobod really uses anyway> wind/water or DFC and future wood jutsus water/earth then your killing their playability...using the toad deck as an example, look at toad flame bombs. its the "correct" element and no good toad deck uses it. i mean why waste time making the deck multi element for one card when everything you need is lightning?

besides, who said they were going to shift elements on the jutsus? texans question adressed ninjas <and even then all he said was "yes". the way the question was worded and the way he answered you can interpret it several ways> so i dont know why all this talk of jutsus switxhing elements came from

I won't spoil the effect here, so listen to the podcast. I will say this much though: That Water Sasuke will be an automatic 1-2 of in most Water Decks, of that I'm sure.

I imagine they'll be the same as Water Sasuke's. It wouldn't make any sense to have 2 Shippuden Sasukes in the same set with different Combat/Support stats.

But yeah, I'm definitely going to be changing my Mono-Water Deck into a Water/Wind Deck after Set 13 because Water Sasuke + LOL Fifth is just too good to pass up. Being able to use his effect then heal whoever you used it on and be able to use it again is, in a word, godly.

Sorry, but if Sasuke's effect is any indication, Water's going to be getting big things this set, and I want to see what Water gets before just about anything else. I can tolerate having Fire ahead of it, but after the Puppet support it got, Wind's had enough attention.

i don't play OC. i play prince. i want to see lighning previews cause i'm thinking bout makin a 2k deck[i like to call it naruto's ninja handbook!]. but anyway, i could care less bout 4-tail. i truly don't care bout "oc succssesor" does. i do belive that OC needs an errata. and i do belive i's a bad thing cause later it comes out, the later anyone will have a way to defete it.

like a NEW turn 0 not sharing the name of any T0 coming before it? thats a little hard to do..shippuuden doesnt have to many new characters until the movies and fillers come in which isnt until the season AFTER this set takes place and they are done with the fillers from "naruto" so they cant really draw anything from there. one or 2 maybe but 5 is...not going to be easy. especially if you want them all to be good lol

ahh but yamato is worth voting for earth by himself imo. after all he has been descriped by mods as earths kakashi. earth could use a kakashi >_>

if there is only one yamato then they BETTER not give him an effect like that mission <the oc conter mission> lol it would be epic fail if his effect was just to do something bad to naruto in his tailed forms. that would eb epic failure. if they DO do that then there better be more than one yamato >_>

honestly out of the cards we "know" we'll get, theres usually only one or to cards that make people go "oooh oooh i vote for element X". you say the only thing worth seeing is sasori <that we know of> well that is usually enough

wa sit any different for other polls? only real reasons underdogs one the polls in the past <like last time earth got it> was because they were in desperate need or mods were hinting at stuff, or both

2) More importantly, will Water get better draw? Besides AOUR, Water doesn't have that staple draw card every other element has, and AOUR doesn't even measure up to the others in any fashion:

JLDC > AOUR
One Morning/Info Gathering > AOUR
Debt/BBQ > AOUR
Reunion > AOUR

Not a single one of the other staple draw cards depend on your opponent. Only AOUR. In short, Water needs better draw and I don't want to wait too long to see if it gets it.

Still, your point stands: People will vote for what they want, and a lot of times it's influenced by what they want to see. Heck, even I'm curious as to what the new Sasori(s) will do because I'm in the process of gathering what I need for a Puppet Deck...All the same, VOTE FOR WATER!:D

I'm really curious to see if the Time Control deck that texans mentioned is brought about this set. Plus, Oro and Kabuto. Let's see 'em back in action. Plus, the new Sasuke kinda combos with the new SSS. Steal opponent's ninja and ping 'em for more damage :D

im kinda on the line with that...i mean their draw IS lacking, but at the same time they also have a LOT of tutors. more than anyone else thats for sure <and definately more playable ones>. but it wouldnt be bad to give them something that gives a lot of draw all at once. even if they ended up netting -1 from hand itd be nice to have somethign that cycled several cards at once and refreshed the hand with 2+ new cards

Agreed I wouldn't mind if you randomized it you could maybe even draw the elements out of a hat.
But I also wouldn't mind if you left it as it is now...... previews are previews nonetheless
