Reaper Death Seal Question

Ok, on the card Reaper Death Seal - 435 in this set is states:
"Look through your opponent's Deck, remove from game any number of cards among them, and your opponent wins up to the same amount of Batle Rewards. Then your opponent shuffles their Deck."

If you play Thousand Years of Death - us009 to stop your opponent from winning battle rewards, does Reaper Death Seal still allow you to discard cards from your opponents deck?

but if this combo does work i would just discard entire deck and use 1000yrs of death to stop the br's
