After the gang finishes the tournament Naruto meets the perv Jiraiya and he becomes his new teacher(This happens in the next issue of Shonen Jump) During this time Sasuke decides to take Orchimaru up on his offer of power and Sasuke leaves Konoha. Naruto goes off to train with Jiraiya for 2 1/2 years. Durning that time we see the origion of Kakashi and how he obtained the Sharingan eye. This arc is called "Kakashi's Gaiden". After the Kakashi's Gaiden arc ends we see what happened after the time jump as Naruto returns to Konoha and the start of Naruto II brgins
