i would suggest using fire/lightning with a little bit of earth. the earth should be thing like shika[flex or formation], ino[formtion], and asuma[BBQ].

In all seriousness just start with characters you like either card wise or from the show. That's what spawns decks and possible originality.

mental all the way it has helped me win most of my tournaments. just watch out for dosu, naruto[self sacrif.], and baki. these cards are dangerous.

go with studying a bit more on all the elements then you'll get a better idea of what you wanna make^_^

just experiment with different decks until you find one you like. what deck someone runs depends on that person's preference.

i would go with a earth/wind deck for a good mental deck. A fire/earth or fire/lightning for a good offense.

if you do that, the earths that you want might to run are maybe one flexibility shikamaru, and maybe a ino. the flex. for either if yur vs. someone with no mental you can totally screw them over or if yur vs. someone with mental you can negate there mental. i would also recomend you have maybe one or two shooting stars and maybe an anbu days card so that if you have 3 flex. shika in your deck you can have them all out on the field.:) the ino from eternal for its affect for the head ninja.
