the only reason why i say itachi is because really in the anime u havent seen him do anything, he hasnt shown wht he can do, on the other side u have seen wht ochimaru is capable of, and why would he want the itachi's clan's ability if they werent stong

Last time I checked after Oro joined Akatsuki, he began to become scared of Itachi's power, and he left Akatsuki and founded Hidden Sound. The whole point of Oro taking in Sasuke is so that he can use his body to defeat Itachi and have the Sharingan for hisself.

Orochimaru wanted to have an Uchiha bloodline limit but even Orochimaru himself admitted that Itachi was more powerfull than he was so he got Sasuke instead.I completly agree with you Uchiha_Itachi,and yes Itachi has shown quite alot of abilities. you all need to know more facts before you get on here and embarass yourself.:):D :p :confused:

All I know is that Itachi would totally destroy Orochimaru. He's part of the Uchiha clan and has taken pretty much full grasp of its kekki genkai which makes him even more powerful. That's my opinion.

Orochimaru is a sannin, yes, but he also is on borrowed time.

SPOILER ALERT:

In the major battles he's fought on his own, he's lost the use of his arms (against Sandaime/Sarutobi-sensei), beaten to a pulp a couple of times (Godaime/Tsunade and Jiraiya/Ero-sennin, although Jiraiya kinda watched), and ran away a couple of times (manga thus far, against Yamato and Kyuubi'ed Naruto.) Overall, Orochimaru relies mostly on subordinates, especially Kabuto.

Itachi, on the other hand, is a force to be reckoned with. The Uchiha was the military police of Konoha, and, in one night, he slaughtered them all, just to see if he could. Where Orochimaru did his crimes for more knowledge, Itachi did it because he could. Mangekyou Sharingan may be his signature technique, but it's not his only one.

If Orochimaru was to gain control of Sharingan, we might be talking something of an equal balance of power; however, Orochimaru would not be able to develop Mangekyou...

...unless, of course, he considered someone his best friend...which leads to another discussion in regards to Kakashi, but we won't get into that here.

In both the manga and the anime, the reason why Orochimaru left the Akatsuki, was because of the fact that he knew that Itachi grew stronger than him. I forgot which chapter it is, but I know it was somewhere in the 5 sounds arc where he said that.

Itachi is not as direct as Orochimaru. His speed is unmatched Kakashi couldnt keep up with Itachi's hand signals. That alone is enough to keep Orochimaru busy.

your arguement of Oro's forbiden techs isnt well thought out. Oro uses one, Itachi copies it. That would make Itachi more powerful

But the Mangakyou Shringan wouldn't see any action in this match-up since Oro is to smart to be caught by Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu, so the match would be very drawn out. This fight has a low percentage of occuring but will eventually happen.

This is a pretty tough one. I can't imagine either of them losing a battle. I might lean more towards Itachi. I mean, he's pretty fast as the last poster said, he had pretty good evidence. Itachi's Sharingan would probably give him the edge no matter what techniques Orochimaru has.

I really can't vote on this one because they both rock. It's a really tough choice. I mean two of the show's/game's biggest bad*****( I censored myself on that one) squaring off would be an awesome sight to see but it would probably end in a draw.

the only way orochimaru wuld've been able to ever have a chance against itachi is if the sound guys weren't late with sasuke and orochimaru got his body. then he wuld've had the sharingan, and he wuld've gotten some understanding of it and he probly wuld've lost his fear of it.
