Hmm good question... I know Naruto hasn't been able to figure out that she likes him yet, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Either that or I'll ask someone I know who's caught up with the Japanese manga and anime if anything ever happens between the two of them.

yes he is but they have differnet lives and they are cousins and Hinata is from the main brach and Neji is from a lower branch so he despises her for it because she is supposed to be a sucsessor of the Hyuuga's

The "real" answer--it's all up to Masashi Kishimoto.

It's anybody's guess until the last page is written, but at this rate it's probably quite a few years away.

Now, putting all that aside, what would I say about the status quo as it is right now, Episode 26 (the most recent one broadcast in the States)?

Hinata would seem a good match for him in a lot of ways. She might calm him down, he in turn might be good for her self confidence (Spoiler: As others mention, there are signs of that in her fight with her cousin, Neji)

But of course the 400 kg gorilla in the room, as it were, is Naruto's wild crush on Sakura. As long as he's stuck on her, he's just simply not going to notice Hinata. She's in turn quite stuck on Sasuke, but even now there are signs that Sasuke's dismissal of her is wearing on her a bit, and that she at least has the occassional momentary insight that "Maybe Naruto isn't a completely useless jerk after all."

So really, Naruto would have to do two things:

1. Decide that Sakura is just too stuck on Sasuke.

2. Actually notice Hinata likes him.

One thing's for sure, it's going to be interesting to watch.
