I will say gai...because well orochamaru has a lot of powerful moves, but you have never really seen what Gai can truly do in a real battle...look at how powerful Rock Lee is at his age...that should also hint at how powerful Gai is.

yes i agree gai is powerful but he cannot beat a sannin with only taijutsu and some ninjutsu and some ginjutsu or konoha whirlwind chakratized but orochimaru can summon snakes and he can never die he is invincible therefore gai will die and though orochimaru is weaker than itachi gai can handle itachi for only about 10-20 minutes when kakashi could stand for 10-15 so yeah just saying tho take my avvies

Be a tough call...Orochimaru has a ton of powerful Ninjutsu, and uses quite a bit of trickery...But, as far as power and speed, Gai outmatches him greatly with his gates.

Gai would have to gate up to at least 2 to deal with him effectively. Just look what it took for Kisame...

It'd be a close match, but I gotta say Gai.

Ochimaru > Gai. Gai has to open the 6th Lotus just to beat Kisame's Clone, which had 30% the chakra of the real Kisame, so Ochi.

Ochimaru can die, the justu does not make him Immortal, but lets him transfer host bodies every 3 years. If he was in the body, and still had a cooldown, he could die. But still Ochi.
