whoa, alot of you obviously didn't actually see the eppie... naruto and gaara fought, and naruto headbutted gaara, they were both out of chakra, but naruto was unconciouss, so technically, gaara won, but, the victory went to naruto since he reformed gaara

gaara didn't run away, temari and kankuro took him away, since he was turning into(this is also the demon in gaara's name) shukaku, and if the shukaku got out, they would have had ----...

Please color all spoilers wheat!!!! Some people don't want to ruin the story for themselves. And your friend dosen't read the Japanese manga, does he? Garra and Sasuke's fight get's interrupted (kind of) by Orochimaru. But that is totally off topic.

Kankuro and Temari take Gaara and run away, Sasuke goes after them. When Sasuke catches up, Gaara (with his arm and half his face in demon form) and Sasuke continue fighting and Gaara beats Sasuke.
