One thing I'm wondering about this game is how they are going to do sets. Are they going to go by sagas like the old game, or are they just throwing random cards with pictures from every saga in and calling it a set?
It's probably the latter but it would be interesting to hear other opinions. |

So far, its looking to be "random" since they have Frieza and Cell in the same set, and also promise Dragonball cards. And then future sets will have GT cards, too. But I think they might go with theme sets, I dunno what the themes could be, but thats what I think might happen.

if they go by theme then what if top tier becomes decks based around the newest sets theme instead of diversity.
that would kinda ruin the game imo |

that won't happen the past cards will not just go away when a new set is realsed.

I know but when new themes get realesed the old themes will still be there and still be effctive. I don't see why just becuse a new theme is made that old themes will not be as good.

I think when I said theme, you are thinking to small, like one deck. They would never release a set, with 100 or more cards only for one deck. Ok, I will give an example of what a theme might be. The afterlife could be a theme, I think Goku and others go there through out all 3 shows(maybe not in DB). But a large theme, that takes place in all the 3 shows(atleast in later sets, since they will at GT).
But again, that was just a idea, I know they are not going to do saga, because of the first set. So, if anything, it will just be "random". |
