If you think about it this game does not suffer what other anime ccg suffer threw. Since this ccg does not follow a story line it has no limits and could go on for infinte if Bandai choose to. My question is how long do you think this game will last, and can it hold water it's sister CCG Naruto.

I think that Dragonball Z will hold its own better than the Naruto CCG is. Naruto seemed more of a fad as far as anime goes... but Dragonball Z still has mad support and mad love from old school players and fans.
I'm sure that we'll see a good few sets come from this CCG. |

As long as they give it the focus they gave NAruto, it can last a long while, thats for sure.

We all know how popular DragonBall is. Actually, I find it astounding that the anime community continually expresses interest in DragonBall year after year. Most anime find themselves falling victim to time. They are a fad for a couple years, then they drop off into the oblivion which is the discard bin. However, DragonBall, despite being an old anime, has not been abandoned by the anime community. Instead, we continue to purchase the product created.

If Bandai supports this game properly with tournamnets across North America (USA & Canada) then I'm sure the game will take a permanent home in the CCG community. All Bandai needs to go to keep this game active and the players happy is supply the same level of prize support they do for the Naruto CCG. If that continues then this game will last a very long time! After sometime, Shonen Jump Championships may pick-up this game. If this game expands into an SJC, then the potential of this game lasting even longer will arise. |

I personally think that if the game itself and the rules appeals to the gamers and the fans of the anime then it shouldn't have much of a problem surviving. The main problem is that DBZ has been made into a card game twice before by Score Ent. With that in mind if there are still any old DBZ gamers floating around, besides myself, then they will have a very picky and harsh look on the game. Even with that in mind though I think the game itself has the potenital to become a game that could last past the year.

The fact that is the first Anime CCG not relative to the anime is what is going to make ths game a huge hit and keep it a hit for years to come. Just you watch!!

I expect it to have initial problems with getting players as its demographic is the same as naruto and since players of that age have a limited cash flow they will have trouble playing both games. It is also unlikely for many naruto players to just drop naruto and play this game since they have already dedicated time and money to naruto. The DBZ theme will hopefully attract new players but at the same time the lack of an ongoing show to inspire younger players to try the game will be a problem.
I will give the game a shot since it i am a huge DBZ fan, but at the same time i also am aware that alot of the younger players have never seen the show since its been off the air for a while and now its only on one channel once a week showing old episodes late at night.
