It's nothing at all like Naruto.

lol.... I like what we know about the game so far. It's a Naruto with a DragonBall uniqueness to it. And I for one like Naruto. The way this one will play is significantly different while keeping some of the strong points of Naruto in my opinion. So, no... I don't think it sucks that this game has similarities to Naruto.

Okay, it is not "just like Naruto". There are many differences and few similarities. I will list some of them for you;

Similarities
- Win Condition
- Combat Mechanics
- Growth
- Charging From Hand

Differences
- Keywords (Super Recovery, etc.)
- DragonBall Coins
- Wish Cards
- Wish Card Deck
- Charging From Deck
- Phases Are Ordered Differently
- The Technique cards have turn costs
- Characters Have In-Game Transformations
- No Hand Costs (Pay From Chi instead)
- Timing Mechanics For Effects (Action & Strategy)
- Additional Effect Icons (Attacker, Defender, DragonBall, etc)
- Events stay in-play after they are used
- Events do not go to Chi unless they are timed

That should be enough to point out that they are as similar as MTG is to Yu-Gi-Oh!. Sure they share some mechanics but all TCG's share some mechanics.

IMO it does kinda suck that this game is in some terms similiar to the Naruto CCG. But after talking with kamiccolo, I was starting to realize that Bandai's version to jumpstart the Dragonball franchise again isn't as bad of an idea as I thought.

Especially since very few people play Score's version (I'm part of that minority now) and most of the people who play the old Score version currently play it online at toptiergaming.com instead of paper cards like in the old days.

Does this mean I'm going to quit the Naruto CCG for the Dragonball CCG? Dunno, depends on what Bandai does to fix the meta for it. I'll still play both the old version and the new version of Dragonball incase If anyone wants to play me.

We still got a few months before the game is officially released, so we'll just have to wait it out.
