Similar to Naruto Packs?

I was reading the info about the game, and i noticed that the will have the pack style similar to naruto.. so what you do think?

i thought they would try and switch it up though.. i mean it'll will just end like with naruto everybody wanting the super rares and ect.. and then people start posting "pack tricks" ect..

that will happan in all card games, but the pack looks does not determin the quality of the cards.

well if bandai made naruto a successful card game, i cant wait to see what they do with dbz.. btw did they buy the rights from score or something?

I hope that SR ratio in DB CCG is 1:12 packs... I did not like it when Bandai up'ed the SR count in Naruto to 1:6. Super Rare MEANS it's super rare, after the count was up'ed it just felt like collecting ordinary rares...

Since the packaging is going to be the same for DBZ, then I have a feeling that the pack trick is going to be resorted to yet again for some people... meaning, get your boxes in full so you don't get cheated out of supers!

it's 1:8,being 1:12 was frustrating don't want to see that happen again.

Atleast that's a little better than 1:6. What was frustrating was pulling an average of 5 SRs per set/3 month cycle and then pulling 12 per set/3 month cycle. As a collecter and player I found it really annoying. It nearly killed the SR trading around me too, because everyone had everything then.

I would not care about the ratio if supers were not a must need but I like the 1:8 ratio becuse it's easier to get the cards that I want without giving up an arm or leg.

there will be a profit 1:8 is still a high enough ratio for that.

trunks- My point was not the need to buy more packs, it was that if Supers were easy to pull they would not be super and thus trading for the Super Rare cards you do need would suffer because of it.

Wouldn't be against that either, but if it's going to be similar to Naruto chances are there won't be rarities higher than super.

I know there will not be becuse the highest rareity that they mentioned is super on the main site.

Five might be a bit much. I'm fine with three super rares a box. The 1:8 ratio is a good ratio. I was discussing this with GoldenWill and he came up with a great point. The 1:8 ratio can always be incremented if the demand for it is there. However, this is a good ratio for the time-being.

I don't know man. 2 a box is a little small. That doesn't really give people a big reason to buy a full box. Rares are good and all but Supers are wehre it's at.

For sure! If I am going to dish out the money to purchase a box then I would definately want more than 2 super rares. I remember back in Naruto before they increased the super rare ration to pack. Two super rares a box was degrading.

Yes. James has already told us that it will. Here is a direct quote;

Booster packs will include 6 common, 2 uncommon, 1 rare, and one parallel holographic card. 1:8 packs will replace the parallel foil card with a special Super Rare gold foil card.

I know duel masters was the same way yugioh was "one rare in every pack" and you would sometimes get a holo, but that was a long time ago...poor game died after tournaments got boring
