What did you get when you started?

Basically just a thread about what Starters and how many packs you got when you started. I'm going down to my Naruto tournament today, and thankfully they're Dragon Ball "free starter" thing is still going on, so I was wondering what I should buy. Maximum I'll be spending this Saturday will be around $35, so I was wondering:

Should I get 2 Goku and a few packs, than a free Frieza Starter?

Or should I get 1 Goku and a couple packs, than a free Goku Starter?




I heard Goku was greating for starting off, but was wondering do you need 1 or 2 of the decks, and on a side note do you need the Frieza starter? Opinions would be great, and feel free to post on what you bought when you started. =)

Well I got my decks in the mail (meijin)...I dont know if I will buy any packs.

It really depends on what sort of deck you want to run as to how many starters you get. I would get alot packs and get the free starter while the promotion is going on, if it was me. That way you get a varity of cards.

Cool, well today my store only got in 8 starters and no packs, meaning no free starter thing for today, but he gave me a deal of 2 starters for $15, than told me I could get a free Starter next time due to the delay.


I got 2 Goku starters today, and he gave me 3x of the promos, so I'm set with T0 Goku's. =)


The Frieza decks are TERRIBLE, which is why I didn't buy any. I'll get a starter of it anyways since it has Captured's and Frieza 3rd Form. Than, I got a great trade:

My:
1 Super Holy Water, 2 Starter Goku's, combination.

His:
2 Special Beam Cannon's, 2 Frieza 3rd Form's, Frieza's Henchman, piccolo, captured.


Since he said he REALLY wants the ST Goku's, and I don't really want them anyways, lol.



Also, I have to wait to get my 3 FF's the Saturday after next week, but for now I'm just going to make a deck out of 3 starters, promos, and small trades. So I'm happy for now, and I'll be getting a bunch of packs/supers within a month, but for the next 2-3 weeks I'm just using a random deck.

so far I got 4 starter (two of each) and 36 packs from my local shop. The owner is already ordering more for me, so I'll be getting more soon.

I'm rocking the Goku starter, 3 packs, and my Goku promos.

Due to confusion upon the part of the store I'll get my free starter later. But Dende's Wish is holding me over until then.

I got the Goku st and 2 packs for the demo. Out of my 2 packs, i pulled an sr frieza (wa-025) and the rare frieza (the 2nd form). From there, I really started wishing I had gotten the frieza deck... =/

I still came in 2nd in the tourny which meant I had 2nd dibs on the rest of the packs so i got 3 more. I pulled nothing worth mentioning (except for a shiny ranfan ^_^). Then my friend bought the last 2 packs because he thought there was an sr in them and wanted to sell them since he didnt play but he had no luck and just gave them to me. Nothing special in those packs either. Then a little later, i gave a guy 15$ and like 3 odd rares for a Goku ss which made my day! Well that was more like my whole day but yea, thats basically how I started this game.
