Cards that you felt should have made the list

Been waiting to put up this thread. After seeing the full list of set 1, what cards do you feel should have been included in set 1 that werent, and why?

Cards I believe should have been included are:
Ox king- An entire arch in dragonball involved him, and earth could have used a biggie.

ChiChi- She is GOKU'S WIFE, had an important part in DB, and earth needed her.

Trunks- We have Cell, 18 and 17... but No trunks?

Android 16- see above

Luanch- best character in DB :(

Turtle- Second best character in DB

spirit bomb- gokus signature haxing attack

destructo disc- The onlything that makes krillin useful

Drum- We have all te other instrument characters -_-

I can go on :\

Mainly sad about no Chi-Chi.

Weird they did not have Drum, he is the only one left out, hopfully this might mean future support for Evil Tribe, with Drum and other remakes of ones we have.

Turtle would have been cool.

I am watching DBZ season 1 right now, and I think a cool basic Launch would be 1/1, effect like +1/+0 if head, +0/+1 if support.

Heres 5 I think could of been in this set.

Number 1 for me is Chi Chi. How can you not in clooed the main characters wife in the first set.
Number 2 would be Drum. Just because hes the one that got left out.
Number 3 would be Vegeta. Not like the other Vegeta, but one thats in Frieza Saga. Hes one of the main characters and theres only 1 of him in this set, but theres 3 Gokus and 5 Friezas this set.
Number 4 would be Great Saiyaman. It would make Earth have a Big hitter and theres a Tech that shows him getting attacked and Yamu and spopovitch are in this set.
Number 5 would be Spirit Bomb. I mean its Goku's final attack to win and he uses it on lots of enemy's.

The only ones that I agree with being included in this set or really any set that the rest of the group reside in are the companion/pair/group characters. Raspberry/Blueberry/Kiwi, 16/17/18 (Maybe even 19/20/Gero), Piano/Drum/Cymbal/Tambourine, the Ginyu Force, the Buu versions, etc. etc.

And of course.. Everyone has their 'favorite' that they want to see in every set, but ya can't always see that... Unless your favorite is a main character like Goku/Vegeta/Gohan/etc. There are how many characters in DB/DBZ and then signature and common techniques as well....

I can imagine Bandai wants this CCG to be a lasting one and they have a HUGE universe to pull from. So fear not, your character WILL be included at some point!

So really... Every post in this listing the numerous characters/techs and reasons why are pretty pointless, INCLUDING this one. XD

How is Future Trunks not a main character?

Yeah, I'm mainly sad about the NO show of Trunks in this thing. There are TONS of things like Zero and others have pointed out that could keep us going on, but who knows what will happen I guess in the future...

Everyone is entitled to there opinions. So don't be a jerk and tell everyone stop complaining. When this thread isn't about complaining your character isn't in this set. It's about what characters should of been in this set in stead of others...:rolleyes:

This set should of at least had the following characters:

1. Saibamen
2. Zarbon
3. Dadoria
4. Nail
5. Vegeta on Namek
6. Dende
7. Captain Ginyu
8. Burter
9. Jeice
10. Recoome
11. Guldo
12. Bubbles
13. Gregory

Instead of adding characters like Cell, Android 17, and 18.

There are several I was hoping to see, but I think for a first set they did pretty well in covering their bases. I'm decently happy with the way it turned out. I'm sure the next set will prove to be very, very good.

I like the list as it is. It leaves a lot of room in the future to fill in the missing characters, and if every set is like this I'm sure the game will be able to go on for a long time. Come on, do you really want Trunks and Super Saiyan Vegeta now? I'm sure they'll be in the next set, and make it that much more exciting. If they were in this set, they would make the other Supers less cool to pull - rather than, "Awesome, I got King Piccolo, he's good," you would say, "Crap, I wanted Trunks!!" Now we can enjoy the lesser character Super Rares and be excited for the "cooler" characters to be released in the next set. :D

lol... I knew I'd get flamed for that. But you all have to remember... They're not following the story line whatsoever... So expect randomness! And no, Future Trunks is not a main character in my opinion.

yea in my opion they shouldnt have done the androids and cell and should have put in other people i'm hope next set to get the ginyu force all of them cooler, king cold, mecha frieza, and coolers armed squadren so that there can be a frieza family deck oh and that blueberry guy lol but to be honest at least i have things to look forward to

They will make more Cell/Android cards... those are basically "teaser" cards of whats to come. Note the lack of Cell/Android techniques, and other forms of Cell...

If they put everything in the first set, there'd be nothing new in coming sets. They have to put something fresh for players to go crazy for!

Personally, I'm waiting for a Mr. Popo.

Also keep in mind that the first set of the game especially needed to be as balanced as possible. This includes having the same amount of warriors of each team. So while Zarbon, Dodoria, Ginyu might have made more sense than 17/18/cell for set 1, you needed to have your 9 "villian" characters and they needed to come from somewhere. It's kinda tricky when some of the biggest villians in the show turned out to be aliens. Also, the Majins in with the uniques is a weird team up. I'm sure they already have it all planned ahead. And it's also good business not to use up all the new characters in set one because you want people to buy the cards, so it's smart to save a fan favorite like Trunks for later. The weird thing is how Piccolo and Vegeta might work. Might we see "super" alliance versions of those characters to signify them fighting with the Z warriors later in the show?

There are more Villains in DB, and more Aliens in DBZ.

Blueberry should of definately been in this set, and so should other cards that were in a group but didn't make the list, like Drum for one example.





Top cards I KNOW should've been in this set:

-Spirit Bomb, would've gave Super the boost it needed against Alien.

-ChiChi, BIG part of the story, and is Goku's wife, so I don't see how she's not in here...

-Trunks, who should've been released with 17/18 IMO.

-Saiyanman would've boosted Earth A LOT, but hopefully be in the next set. (Just in exception, but hopefully we'll see him Set 2.)
