Does anyone have pictures of the cards that are going to be in the goku starter deck? I saw someone put up frieza starter, and I must say I'm impressed. Does anyone know which stater is better? I'm thinkin frieza b/c of his low turn cost. all replies appreciated!

From my playing with the starters, the Goku starter deck has won more times than not. I haven't calculated for the skill of players wielding each deck, but it seems that the Goku deck simply has more solid characters. I'll try to post the list and images later today.

AS far as I see it, the Goku deck has better Warriors, while the Frieza has better techniques. The Goku STSR isn't that great, though.

The STSR Goku is nice, but T0 Goku is better. Becuase he is the best T0. So most(if not all meta decks) will run 3 T0 Gokus.

For now, all of them will. =/

well, T5 GOKU has weaker attack then other turn 5 like frieza 3rd and andriod 17, so i'm still not sure on the goku starter deck. But i don't plan to buy a lot of booster packs, so which would be better for me, goku starter or frieza? But, goku does have a good card power. Also, does anyone have pictures of the cards in the goku starter?

Just going by starters, Goku is better. But Frieza's has 3rd form that you need to play Final Form which is in the packs.

what comes good in the goku starter? i know that the frieza comes with frieza, and a healthy number if alien and unique cards ( both which seem to be the best type of cards), but what advantage does the goku starter have?

Cell, Ranfan, Krillin, a couple good Techs. Goku starter vs Frieza starter, Goku will win, but that does not mean much, since tournament play will deal with stuff in boosters.

Here's what I can tell you:
My Goku starter came with Frieza's Last Wish. My Frieza starter came with Oolong's Wish. I don't know which ones have the other wishes.
Goku starter is focused on Super, Villain, and Earth. Frieza starter is focused on Alien, Unique, and Earth.
Both starters come with what are sure to be tournament staples, but the Goku has more, I think. Goku has 2xMaster Shen, 2x Cell, 2x Ranfan, plus a Kamehameha and a smattering of other decent warriors. Frieza has the Frieza Forms, 2x Piano, several Evil Tribe warriors, and a Special Beam Cannon.
If you want to play Evil Tribe or Frieza, the Frieza starter is for you. If you want some more flexible power cards to play with, go for the Goku starter.

If you want a deck to build around, get Frieza.
You can have 3 wishes, and you only get 1 in the decks(and its random) and one from the packs.

I think Frieza's Henchmen is better than Captured. The chi cost is too steep on Captured. FH is generally at worst a Reversal that hits support and gets rid of DBs. At it's best, it can knock out a T0 Goku, a Ranfan, or a Roshi and significantly weaken a team, or send away a Pilaf that would force a draw. Yes, it can only hit T2 or lower, but considering that you would need at least 7 chi to hit anything higher than that with Captured, you will generally have the same drawback using that card as well.
Of course, there is something to be said about knocking out a warrior for 2 turns as opposed to letting your opponent drop it again next turn. (Though the redrop does stop them from dropping anything bigger, so if they want to keep tempo up you will have done essentially the same thing with FH as you would with Captured).
Hm...I stand by my point. FH will get the edge over Captured, I think.

well, wouldn't it make sense to buy the frieza then cause alien and unique are the strongest so far. Which starter deck comes with pilofs wish, or does it come in packs? what it seems to me is that the goku starter deck is focusing on future potential, while frieze seems to have the most power right now. does piccolo come with the freiza?

I told you what I could about the wishes. It's not like they sent Meijin a list of what wishes come in what starters. Maybe another Meijin got a different wish card; I am not sure if they sent us all the exact same decks or not. Pilaf's does come in a starter, though. Only Dende's Wish is in packs.
It's not necessarily true that Frieza is the best to buy. It will give you the best start on a Frieza deck, but you'll likely still need a Goku starter or enough packs if you want to be competitive, because Cell is nearly a staple in every deck, and Goku comes with 2 of him. Ranfan may be a staple as well, and Goku has two of those too.
The Frieza starter comes with 2x Piccolo Jr, who is also an uncommon in packs.

thanks a bunch JaniGreen for all your help. I think i'll get goku, there are a decent amount of support for super, and i think i'll lean twords super and unique. And then again, cell is very tempting, and he might have a 2nd and final form in the next set. And the goku does allow access to kao ken, and allows you to form a team of 4. AHH, all thease choices! Once again, thanks for your help!

Yep, no problem. Some things to take into consideration as well:
Most of the cards you would want for Unique that are in the Frieza deck are easily obtainable in packs. The only one that isn't is Special Beam Cannon. The same really goes for Super and the Goku deck - aside from Starter Deck Only Goku and Krillin, the only Super rare in there is, if I recall correctly (I don't have the cards in front of me at the moment), Kamehameha. The difference is that Goku has multiple powerful, splashable rare cards in it. However, if you are building Alien, I would recommend Frieza over Goku, at least right away. Both eventually would be ideal.
You don't need to play Villain to have Cell in your deck - he doesn't cost any Chi to play, so you can splash him into any deck that could use a solid t4 drop.
It's likely they will print a new stage 1 Cell whenever they decide to print his later forms. Remember, the cool thing about this card game is they can print tons of cards with the same name, and you'll have choices between them when building your deck.

Why bother? Why bother printing any of these cards?
They wanted to have Cell in the set. Since he wasn't the focus, they didn't give him evolution or make him interact with androids. Instead, he's just a solid 4 drop. What's the problem with that?
If you think this is strange, go check out the card lists for the Naruto TCG. Every set has new versions of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, etc. It's their way of keeping this game fresh and exciting without having to make stupid new "forms" or add tons of unnecessary adjectives.
I will tell you right now: Every set will have at the very least one new card named Goku. It's likely it will happen to a lot of main characters. You will see more Frieza cards in the future, and not just Mecha-Frieza. That is how this game works: You are allowed choices between different versions of the same character that depict the character during different moments in the series. Currently we already have two Gokus, one as a child and the Kaio Ken Goku, but a deck can only run a total of 3 cards named Goku. Expect this trend to continue in future sets.
The Cell we have just shows his strength. I'm sure in the future we'll have one that shows his ability to change forms. I bet we'll have another that shows his ability to adapt and use the techniques of other warriors. Maybe we'll have another that grows when you sacrifice androids. And this is all just stage 1 Cell.

Hm...I stand by my point. FH will get the edge over Captured, I think.
We've been testing starters very extensively for a week now, and while FH is a great card, Captured has the potential to be much more devastating.
For 3 Alien Chi, with FH, I can send a T2 or less back to my opponent's hand when I am attacking. This generally nets a -2 to the opposing team. It may also get rid of 1 or 2 dragonballs.
For 1 Alien Chi and 2 of any Chi, you can render a T1 or less completely useless for 3 turns (Time Limit: 2 = 3 turns). Were talking T0 Goku, Ranfan, Chiaotzu, or other important characters.
At this point, both are pretty even.
The thing about Captured, though, is that it renders an entire team ineffective during the turn that it is played. Captured is a late game card, which usually means both players are at 7 or 8 damage. Captured is instant victory in these situations.
For instance, my opponent organized 3 teams last time he attacked. It is now my turn. We are both at 8 planet damage. I play Captured and choose the Ranfan on one of his teams. I then organize my warriors into 3 teams of 5+ power each. He can no longer send the team with Ranfan out to block. He can only block 2 attacks. Game over.
That kind of scenario has happened so much that it's really quite incredible. Also, keep in mind that Captured can take your opponent's largest team and make it unable to block for a turn. That's game swinging in the most incredible way. Often, 5 chi will be charged on the final turn of the game just to play Captured, guaranteeing the win.
It may not be as good as it is now once the entire set is released, but with the starters, it is an extremely reliable "I win" card.

I can attest to this... :o I'm generally the one dropping captured on the last turn for the unexpected (okay, maybe it's expected now) victory. Very good card when it is starter vs. starter.
