:eek:Plunder + Fierce 2:eek:
I'm liking Tao and the Tech it not bad ether.
Edit: If mill becomes big or good Tao is 1 way to go. I'm my make a Mill deck when i see lots of Fierce stuff, but I think Bandia need to be careful with Fierce stuff or they my make Mill deck to good.

Tao's fierce 2 is nice. Plunder is helpful. But he is so quickly replaced by much larger warriors - if only he had some support on him! But I wonder if mill will become a popular strategy?
Shen is old news.
Dodonpa is pretty meh - it can't even finish off a warrior, only injure them - and turn cost 2 is awfully restricting.

I already own 2 Master Shen gg V_V
but in all seriousness, I like all these cards.
The Mercenery Tao or whatever is l337.
3/2 | 0/2 is l337.
2 to injure is l337.
Can't wait to see more ^_^

Tao is good if Mill becomes good or some ppl my just splash him in decks. Plunder and Fierce 2 are good ability's on T3, but like Jani said it lacks support. :/
Shen is old news, but all still talk about him. Hes a grate T2 because his support doesn't change wall in injured status.
Dodonpa right now doesn't look that good. I mean most T2 and lower have same stats when in injured status. Like the best thing I can see this would be used for is to turn off Ranfan's effect. I do like how it can be used by anyone. It makes it balanced for its effect and chi cost.

Looking forward to it...
Tao is a very, very solid turn 3 drop. One thing to remember is that even though he's not a big unit, having him as the leader of your 2nd or 3rd strongest group can be nasty. When it is the decision between blocking an attack from Piccolo and Vegeta or from this Mercenary Tao, who are you going to choose to block?

This is a good point. I'm starting to warm up to Tao now - I may playtest a couple in the deck I decide to make. He could prove to be a nice strategic option.

Tao's Fierce 2 is pretty beastly. He has low stats for a 3-drop, though. Gohan puts the moves on him.
By the way, are Fierce and Plunder Valid effects?

Thanks for the kudos! :) He could prove to be very viable strategically, putting your opponent in a bind. If you can 1.) put them in a situation where they only have enough characters that they must choose which to defend against (whether Tao be in group 2 or 3) and 2.) find a way to capitalize on them choosing to block him or the others, this could be a very good character.

Tao is ok, but without having any support he will die quickly late game. Great for Mill decks but bad everywhere else.
Tech is ok too, but like someone already said, Turn 2 or lower is just too restricting. Combined with Solar Flare and you could take down Frieza 2F or Vegeta, but thats about the best I can see with this.

Power of the Instinct is a good way to capitalize on it. :D
Edit: Wait, I don't think that works. They have to be opposed to win a victory, yes? If so, then nevermind. I need to learn my rules better.

Wrong.
It can only injure, so it's not capable of killing.

You have to win a battle between a team to get its effect.

Yeah, a team has to be opposed to win any kind of Victory. If they aren't opposed they win Battle Reward/Outstanding Battle Rewards (or in DBZ's case "Planet Damage"), which do not count as Victories.

I never said Kill, only take down. Freiza's 2nd form loses all its states when injured and Vegeta loses all his support. The Tech combined with Solar Flare can help you injure them so your warriors can kill them when you attack or defend.

I think that a lot of people underestimate the number of characters you'll actually have out. Just because they aren't as good as some of the 'best' characters in the game doesn't mean they suck. If the only character you have out is your super 1337 Frieza I swear you'll lose every game. I'd recommend to everyone saying that 17 and 18 suck, keep your mouth closed until after tournaments start. You have no clue what you're talking about. ;)

And there we go. Why is it that someone always feels the need to start things?
First let me start with your "if the only character you have out is your super leet freiza..." Comment. Guess what? If you have 1 character on T6 and your opponent has a full field, I dont care what that character is, you ARENT going to win, but on the near impossible chance you are actualy able to come back, I guarentee you, it wont be because of 17. Infact if I were in that situation, the character I would want would be freiza hands down. Why? becuase my opponent would be swinging at me like crazy to push for 10 BRs, and freizas effect would allow me to atleast beat (if not crit) one of the 3 teams, and then mill 2 cards off my opponents deck (which due to small deck size and charging off top, may even let me win the game in said impossible situation). by beating one of his teams, I weaken his field and give my self a chance to comeback.
What would 17 or 18 do? well, 18 would just eat the attack because shes understat for her drop, and 17 MAY get a victory (if you are lucky) and then you get to draw a card... Yay? being that there is no Uber trigram esc effect, 1 additional card will not pull you out of that situation. So yeah, your entire point is just awful.
Next lets go into the "Close your mouth" comment. Who exactly are you, and when did you earn the right to tell people on a public forum to not speak their opinions because you don't agree with them? Please enlighten me to this, because I would love to know.
Lastly, to the "You have no clue what you are talking about" comment, folowed by the smiley placed in arrogance, I find it very intresting that you chose those words, being that you yourself have no idea what you are talking about. Whats also ironic is that both DNaraku and I have both had hands on playtesting with the game, which would lead one to believe we would have atleast some idea on the flow of game, and impacting effects that determine a cards playability.
So yeah, drop the attitude because there is no need for it here ;)

I do think that the Androids will have their place. Obviously they are not the powerhouses that Frieza, Goku and the like are, but surely they will see play in some decks. Then again, I could be wrong. I'm quite reluctant to say much until I have weeks of playtesting under my belt.

First, I want to say that my intentions were not to be 'arrogant' or to actually tell someone to shut up. I understand that public forums are for open discussion and as such everyone ought to be able to fully express their opinion. That being said, here is what I said,
"I'd recommend to everyone saying that 17 and 18 suck, keep your mouth closed until after tournaments start."
I said this, because in my opinion, anyone saying that 17 and 18 suck simply because they aren't as good as some of the best cards in the game is not a good thing to do. To dismiss a card because you are comparing it to the best of cards... Well, as I said in my above comment, I recommend not doing so.
I also said that I
'recommend... keep your mouth closed'.
I didn't intend for it to come across as me saying, 'shut up'. It seems as though that is how you took it and I want to go ahead and apologize to anyone who read it that way. Furthermore, I am not in a position to make absolute statements about the game. That being said, what I really meant to say in my first posting is simply this:
I don't recommend dismissing a card based on the fact that it isn't as good as other, more powerful cards.
Sorry for the misunderstanding,
Zach

The only reason I say that they're bad cards is not only because they utterly fail in comparison to the likes of SS Goku, FF Frieza, and Piccolo but also because for their turns they are underpowered.
When the cards were first show, I, along with quite a few others thought they were amazing because we were still comparing the game the Naruto and hadn't actually done any playtesting yet. After things like Origins actually allowing players to get their hands on the game and see exactly how it was played combined with another mean of playing, it has become an proven fact that this game is nowhere close to Naruto in terms of power and that the Androids just aren't good cards.
Effects like Draw a card if you win and Your opponent discards a card from hand if you win would have normally been great cards in the Naruto CCG because you could potentially draw into something retarded such as 8 Trigram or Vortex, but in this game the best it could possibly draw you in a Villain deck is Merciless Attack whose cost is utterly ridiculous and with Resisting Power going into every deck in 3's as well as costing a mere 3 random Chi, that's just not going to cut it. Not to mention that I honestly believe that drawing too many cards in this game will possibly lose you the game because you're already likely charging from the top of your deck and between effects like Fierce and that you'll likely end up losing a game you had full field advantage in due to deck out. 18's effect is always welcome, but for her turn she's just way to understat. A 5 combat and 2 support on turn 5 just isn't going to cut it.
Maybe in time the Androids will prove to be better cards, in fact I'm sure they will be. But as it stands now, they're just cards I would be willing to bet you'll never see in Top 8's of any tournaments.

I like both and have both in my alien/villian power up deck. i think that as the strongest villians theve still got the floor on not sucking. also is it just me or have three deck come to mind to player as the best before all the cards are even out yet and i don't agree with them they are all chancey and frankly a good beat down deck could take them all out with the effects of ferocity as a frieeza deck that loses all its frieezas abouve stage 2 is not very powerfull and its very likely that that can happen. as for the giant ape combo i belive that its broken plain and simpile. and as for the piccilo deck idea it also has its faults with hand consumption. so i'm not convinced that this cards suck i just don't think you've thought of a good deck idea that uses them is all.

...None of that made sense.
A beat down deck that uses Feirce WOULD be freiza. Merc. Tao is a nice card, but where it currently stands, unless you go first and hit your entire curve, hes just going to tie with your opponent, and then get pushed aside on T5 when you drop a biggie. so at max he will have 2 turns of usefull ness IF you go first, but then you would have missed your 3 support drop on T3, leaving your opponent in advantage, giving him immediate chance at hitting you with frieza :\
Also, if you discard my freizas, I'm just going to wish him into play :\
Giant ape is ok. I dont understand how you seem to think that combo is "Broken".
Piccolo has faults with Hand consumption? I think in all the games Ive used Yoshi.dec (Mono unique) Ive used piccolos effect a total of 4 times. thekey to winning the freiza match up is to be bigger and not let him beat you out on fierce, which is why Yoshi.dec can actualy stand up to freiza. Selecting the race and kami are strong strong cards.
You havent done any testing at all, yet you are making some ridiculous claims :\
Ninja Pebble

Apes are far from broken. Frieza is defiantly going to be the card you need to look out for. Piccolos effect will work grate in a Mono-Unique deck witch is probably going to be the best Mono deck for the first set.
