View Full Version : I just want a second opinion...
Hi, long story short, loved the Dragon Ball series up to it's finish at GT, and play the Naruto CCG. I love how the two are so similar, but Dragon Ball is superior in a few ways; has more fans, plus the game mechanics are MUCH better. Also I like how if you toss a few of the rules, you can play for fun between the games, so you can play with several decks outside of tournament play. I was wondering to those who know a lot about the card game so far, is, well, how fun is it and how competitive do you think it will be? I'm also kind of wondering if I should buy any certain starters, such as which ones are better. Planning on buying 2-3 structures and playing with some friends and people up at my local, than buying some packs on the release date. Just wanted to know a few things, mainly what structures to buy and how good the game is looking so far. Thanks to everybody, and am looking foward to playing!

Both starters are very good, but I believe Goku's come out better with more "staples". Though, Frieza's deck does have ST only 3rd form, that you need to get to Final form.
I and others have playtested it. And it is very fun, there are of course going to be a deck or two that will be the meta, but you have some options between those decks and the more sets the more options, that will come.

Before i was gonna get a box, I was just gonna spend 40 bucks on boosters then get both of the decks for free. But now im just gonna get a box.
Sweet, I'll buy 4 then just in case, but going to look at the sideboards to see which one can be more useful, like if Goku A has a better side than B, than I'll just buy 2x Goku (same with Frieza). I don't know how I'm going to spend the first few bucks yet, but definately starters first, than some packs overtime.

The decks don't come with sideboards. The only difference in the decks is what Wish card you get, and multiples of the same Wish won't do you any good.

In less its like Upa's wish. Then he can use it for trade power.:D

Alright thanks, so I'll get all 4 than. I can't wait for the game to come out; so the game is really fun than? Looks a lot like Naruto's mechanics, but it's way better, plus the cards look interesting.

I thought there were only to decks with 2 wishes each or just one wish each that was random. Now I have to budget for more starters :(
