i wonder what elements these cards are

i can picture

goku being lighting

piccolo being wind

trunks being fire

vegeta being wind

krillin being earth

frezza most likly water

gohan i think he could be wind or lightning

Cell being Earth

Nappa being Earth

what do you think ?

There are no elements. In the card previews there were Combat Traits; Android, Master Roshi Style, etc..

I believe the new "elements" are Earth, Saiyan, Nemek, Villians, Aliens. Please correct me if I am wrong, I do not have the SJ,

We don't know if Chakra is going to be an element of the game as of yet. We don't know if they are going to use cards similar to jutsu. All we've seen are the character cards and we know that the game mechanics are SIMILAR to Naruto. They are not the same ;)

Earth, Saiyan, Nemek, Villians, Aliens
Thanks for posting that Evil Jim. I don't have the SJ either but at least that gives SuperSaiyan4 something to go off of.

P.S. Why would there be a villain element?

that sounds more like a charateristic rather than an element such as in naruto; sharingan is a charateristic is similar to saiyan being a chariteristic u see what i am saying

Its going to basicly be Water for DB.

It is the Elements, if you go to one of the other threads, a guy posted pics, and those are the "elements".

good question, it does seem more like a trait

well before i thought (given before i heard about this ) that if they did come out with a ''similar card game '' they would
have there own version of jutsus such as a death beam for freeza :)

I am geussing they will but I hope not becuse I don't really want this game limited to 2 elements likeNaruto.

It seems that the new "elements" will be home worlds, or the like. But since there are a ton of villains, they are all under villain. At least thats how I see it going down.

I was looking at the Piccolo card that was previewed in May's issue of Shonen Jump. He has two "elements" on him. One is Namekian and the other is Warrior.

Warrior is not a "element" is just like Ninja on a Naruto card. It is the type of card.

Woops, my bad. I was attempting to remember what the other description on the Naruto cards were. Thanks for helping me remember guys :)

again namekian is probrably a characteristic i already said this (i think)

i think naruto will still be more succsessfull because dbz has losed its fame where as naruto is gaining

Maybe they'll have some un-named nameks.

Like the guys that fought Dodoria. They could be called something like 'Namekian Warrior' or something. Similar to how they had Ambu in Naruto.

DBZ has not lost it's fame, just look at the box sets, toys, games,a live action movie, and other merchandise plus this game is simlar to naruto which will draw in that crowd.

So i belive there are more DBZ fans then naruto fans out there. Plus we will most likely get alot of the players of the previous Z games.

anything thats been out as long as DBZ has(10 or more years) and still sells like DBZ does is a good anime.

Exactly. I've never seen the Japanese Sub. I really wish I could as I know it is wicked. I'll probably watch it to get myself really pumped for the Card Game. What I'm getting as it what GoldenWill had said. Although I have never seen the Sub, I'm really pumped for this game after watching the Dub. I havn't seen a DragonBall Z episode for over four years yet I'm overly excited for this game.

There are difinatly more DBZ fans out their than Naruto heck if it wasn't for DBZ we probably wouldn't even have anime as mainstream as it is right now and Naruto wouldn't even exist in america.

I dunno, pokemon was a big help to bring anime to the US, but I do agree DBZ was the first and had alot of fans to expand anime in the US.

See, I know relatively little about the show since I could never really get into it - blasphemy, I know, but there ya are.

Last time I tried to watch any, the fight went on for about 8 or so eps before I bailed....it was at my buddy's house about 3 years ago, and I couldn't tell you what saga to save my life....

But I REEEAAALLLY want to play this game :D

Someone posted all the info from the cards from SJ, and since the pics from the other thread are not clear we could not tell 100% what the "elements" were.

Well, these are the ones from SJ: Super, Alien, Earth, Villain, and Evil.

PS, Piccolo has Evil.

On a first glance, you might think so. However, I am under the assumption that although Vegeta was evil and a villain at one point, he switched sides and is now considered to be a hero. There are a lot of characters, such as frieza and cell, who were evil and villains, but did not make the jump ship.

Well, thats whats on the cards. And as I said Piccolo has Evil, in the show at the time the card takes place, he would be a "good guy", but wouldn't you say he is evil.

Hey, we have only seen 5 cards, each with what will probably be the only "elements". Maybe like Naruto how all the "bad guys" where pretty much water. They will put all the "bad guys" in Alien and Villian. But "Evil" could be the bad turned good guys. Yet, I think Vegeta will have the super "element".
