-A few people on this forum have stated that there was no movie promo. Shame really since that would have boosted interest and awareness of the ccg.

Advertising this game on that movie would hurt the game.

No not that bad.... worse.
Take the second worst movie you have ever seen, now hit the fast forward button once so it shows most of the movie frames, but not all of them. Now give it bad scripting. Finally, give it second rate special effects that look like they are from the 80s. Ok now you have DBZ. The movie tried to have fun with it, but basically, movies can't do that anymore. with all of the super hero movies that are out now, and all of the really amazing special effects that are out now Kamehameha should have been way way better looking than that!! The only thing I can akin it too is Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Basically, websites will be making fun of the movie for decades to come and that is the best case scenario.

PHA HAHA epic review there
u hit it right on the spot..
DBZ is a great/classic anime. it deserves a remake sooo much better than DBE. When there was first talk of the movie...i was expecting an EPIC and godly remake such as the new(ish) Transformers series..or something on the lines of good...
i guess im kinda glad they didnt make movie cards.. but ya never know since DBE is a 3 part movie series >___<'

I think everybody here was expecting more than ANY one could make. The movie is not called DragonBallz The movie. It is not The show on the big screen. Swordmaster even called it "DBZ" It is not DBZ it is a new different story. If you came to the movie with an open mind as i did you could enjoy the movie for what it was, a fun action movie with a familiar story. Chi chi was wonderful, bulma had the spun(kly and attitude that she always had. I personal enjoyed the movie but it looks like everybody wants the story they already knew 10 years ago, if you want that then DBK is out right now and you should go watch that.

lol dude.. There was a lot more wrong with the story other than they just borrowed the character names and basic storyline to create garbage..

Honestly you guys have issues. Your expectations were way to high. This movie really wasn't that bad. Sure things are movie slanted, but its still a pretty entertaining movie. I loved Roshi in this movie in a way i couldn't love the original Roshi. Also Yamcha in this movie was certainly not a close of the original but he's still pretty funny. You have to take it with a grain of salt and not expect some perfect adaptation. For what it is its a good movie thats worth paying for to see one time.

Absolutely not.
When I go to see a movie called Dragon Ball and it has characters named Goku, Bulma, Piccolo, Yamcha, etc, I expect to see something like the anime. Not a random BS movie that has possibly the worst script Ive ever seen. This movie was ridiculiously bad to extent I cant express. Now all we have to save us in M Night Shamylans Live Action Avatar movie.
EDIT: I guess theres no stopping fanboys from being fanboys...

You have your opinion and I have mine.. We may have differing opinions but don't say that I have issues because my opinion is different than yours.. I didn't criticize you so don't be hating on me for having a different opinion.. Saying things like that gives 0 credibility to your argument and frankly it makes you look ignorant.. Which we know isn't true, right?

Honestly my comment is more directed at those who have not seen the movie and are judging it more than anyone else. If you've seen the movie and disliked it. Then its your opinion, I do not agree but I'll respect it. However this thread seems to be filled with lots of people complaining about soemthing they've only seen commercials for.

Well that's dumb.. If you guys haven't watched the movie then don't act like you know its bad.. Decide for yourself.. Watch the Cam version online.. Wait for it to come out on DVD.. Downlaod the Dvd Rip.. See it in theatres.. Once you've done that come back and post..

I'm not going to say the movie was good cinema by any stretch of the term, but it was enjoyable. I don't regret spending the money and the time. :)
