-I'm curious to hear you all out on your thoughts and/or experiences with the dragonball vs naruto format. I been wanting to introduce it in my local scene using the available rules that are currently out for the format. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

I think it might be hard to take on Naruto even with the rules enforced. I think I've only been able to win one serious game of Dragonball vs Naruto. That was Super/Earth against a Hyuga deck. I've also went back and forth against a Toad deck a few times but he just didn't have it built properly.
The Jutsus of Naruto far surpass our Techniques since they don't have turn costs and that can be tough to deal with as the effects are much more deadly. I almost lost my Super Saiyan 3 Goku to a Jutsu that dealt two damage if you get a heads... Dragonball also doesn't really have any Techniques that target 1 Warrior so I couldn't make teams since my opponent had an Ino and new Inoichi out. Thank Kami for my one man team of Super Saiyan 3 Goku.
Fusion might make the vs format more viable because there will be more ways to start an Adventure Showdown. Naruto rush decks which are probably the best deck right now probably won't have anything past Turn 4 and Jutus are considered Turn 0 so that should be a big difference.

Trunks the Swordsman,
-Very possible that set 4 will bring more balance to the dragonball decks, although I believe I heard that adventure showdowns as well as mental battles will not be allowed in the format. I still have not played a game of dragonball vs naruto, so I find it interesting in your post about the jutsu advantage. I guess only time will tell how will it will turn out when the rest is officially looked over through and through.

No Adventures? I thought that'd be okay since Naruto can actually participate in them unlike Mental battles for Dragonball. Although all of Naruto's Jutsus would be considered to be Turn 0, it doesn't take up that big a portion of their deck so it isn't that bad for them. Kind of makes up for Dragonball having Turn costs on the Techniques though.

I don't think your allowed adventure showdown or mental power battles.

Ya I don't see why not having ADV. I know why Mental is band. Plus ADV is probably the best way 2 win against Naruto, maybe.

I think its because Jutsu are all treated as a having a turn cost of 0.. That means that at least 20 cards (turn 0 ninjas + 12-15 jutsu) or half of their deck would give them a team power of 0 in an adventure showdown battle.. That's pretty lame..
Yeah, the T0 Jutsu would make Adventure Showdown harsh.

Missions still have Turn costs despite being a small portion of the deck but yeah it would be about half of the Naruto deck.
For Naruto even with the new rules I think if they were to put the decks together, they'd put Adventure Showdowns into consideration. That is if certain areas plan to run these types of tournaments and participants want to go competitively.
Naruto's Jutsus are still more devastating and there's a lot more removal. If a Dragonball deck has Adventure support, that's taking up a certain amount of space which might hurt in the end. At the moment Dragonball has nothing on Naruto. Naruto has better early game Ninjas, Jutsus that can be played anytime and good Missions. So I think Adventure should stay in this format to give Dragonball a little edge.
We'd have to wait for some new rules that go up to Fusion though.

my friends and i still aren't really sure of the format, but we tried it out, and DBZ is winning on turn four. then it all goes down-hill because the beast ninja can come out and OWN!

-Now that the cross-over battle section is up and a updated ban list for naruto, I'd figure why not talk about this topic again? This week my hobby store will try it out for the first time, I have a simple wind and fire deck going on. I tried to go mono, but it's hard to do that without splashing due to the nature of how naruto ccg releases ninjas. Anyways, the way I see it, with the game being geared towards the vs format, you get to make good use of a lot of the cards that are pretty much worthless in standard naruto.

-I saw your post about the cross-over battles, do tell how bad the whoopin was before the rules, haha.
