I was just wondering how the Alien deck type is doing right now?

Like how well does fair vs Unique and Villain?
Also which would be a better route to go for
Alien? Rush, Ginyu Force, or Frieza?

Well it got a lot of control elements this set:

Dignity of the Conquer and Cooler.
A great turn 3 (Neiz)
I think it can be in the running for teir 1, with play testing.

Alien got a big boost in set 4, I say it's going to be up there with the big decks

Right now its a splash symbol but when we get set 4 it will be up there with villain and unique with supreme guy adding to an awesome line up.

Basically, before Destructive fury alien was all about pure stompdown with freiza to beat down later. After DF came out they moved away from the stompdown element and came out with the ginyu force which enhanced Frieza and vegeta's Beatdown ability.

At the moment, with a little bit of splash in its weak turns; Alien is a pretty decent deck. It can hold its own against villain and unique, and now with mecha frieza its just solid. Fusion is bringing back the Stompdown deck. It will require playtesting to see if that is better than beat down. There are also solid beatdown cards in Fusion too; like Salza Blade, Appointment to the force, and proud clan. Most of the cooler force members while they are more stompdown types, they are still decent in beat down and can be decent warriors in some of the spots beat down is lacking.

the major weakness of alien is rush at the moment. Their early game is mostly splash and with turn 0 cards like rasberry, no good turn 2 and relatively weak turn 3s, it has trouble beating back an early onslaught. They can fight back with cards like emissions and saibaman, but there is only so much they can do. I seriously think alot of that will change with fusion. Doore is coming he is a 5/0 toughness turn 3 warrior. neiz is a 3/3 turn 3 warrior with a good effect. their turn 0 and 2 drop issues are easily fixed with splash cards from any other style now so I think the deck will become more stable then it has ever been in the past.

Alien is top tier next set.. If you are an alien player you should look at getting a set of all the alien cards (maybe not final flash) in this set..

don't forget supreme kai coming out this set. i think he's solid too. here's how i will try to build alien. cooler + mecha frieza + ss vegeta = powerful late game. if you can survive a rush deck, that looks pretty good. i'm going to try cards like emission of the aura. :)

Don't downsize Final Flash, it still has many uses. It may only be sideboard, but it's an amazing sideboard card against Alien, Unique, Villian, and Super

Beat Down most likely, personally....Im using Frieza and the ginyu force
