Being a vegeta fan i was really excited to see this! I am kind of torn though, since i currently run 2 ss vegeta and 2 ff frieza, and i run deathball. the big bang is amazing, and is a game changer, not to mention easier to get off than deathball, but i dont know if its worth replacing.
what do you think of this tech?

how does your deck run? with that much high levels and chi cost, don't you have a hard time keeping cards in your planet? If I was you I would choose to play Vegeta or Frieza, not both.

its alien with splash villain, and it runs just fine, actually just placed first with it today in a tourney. I don't really seem to have a probelm missing drops, and with the correct hand i can drop vegeta and ff frieza on the same turn

yeah especially if i get in early game damage with cards like blue stomping and captured, i dont have to worry about cards in my deck... especially with all that feirce

This reminds me of how in Set 1, Evil Tribe and Unique used the SR Piccolo as their T5 because he was awesome, and then as soon as Set 2 came out, he was replaced completely with Lord Slug because he was just better in every way for the deck.
We just got Galic Gun, an ok Super Rare from Set 2, but since the Vegeta that is going to be in play 80% of the time is either SSJ or Majin, and the fact this jutsu is just better in every way, it completely supersedes Galic Gun.
I was just hoping that this game wouldn't go the route of Naruto where the next set takes good Super Rares and just phases them out for even better ones.

I really don't think that is what is happening at all. Yeah it is better than gallic gun but gallic gun is still faster so it can hit the androids or cell before he does real damage to the planet, if you are running vegeta and majin vegeta or ssj vegeta you'll probably hit your card I don't see bad play in running them both. I mean death ball is 100x harder to pull off and ppl run it. i have only seen it work one time ever. running both really wont hurt an alien deck much either.
Well, I'd not ever run single damage techs, but that's just me. I think deathball is worth it being 'harder' as you state, however, I've seen it pulled off tons of times, I've PERSONALLY done it dozens of times, lol. If you run Frieza, there really isn't a point in running both Deathball and Big Bang, but you better not be running Gallic Gun either.
When it comes to Super Rares replacing each other, I don't see why Gallic Gun AND Big Bang Attack are Super Rare, while Death Ball isn't. Until we see Super Kamehameha, it's the best destruction technique there is. And arguable even then, because it's action not defender action. I just can't wait to attack, have a team of SSJ Gohan block and use Super Kamehameha, then counter by Deathballing the user. That's going to rock my world.

I think if your running a primary alien deck then its fine if not then no better then gallic gun since you can one shot androids and 4 turn trunks. But deathball is more useful since it hits anyone and usually they will get fierced so they will lose it anyways.

personally the way i see it is if you wanna run alien unique with buu and ss vegeta, and maybe a majin vegetam then youd run big bang. if you were running an alien villain duel still next set, than you'd probably still run frieza and deathball. thats just what i think

The problem with Big Bang Attack is that it rarely gives a big enough boost to be worth the chi and the requirement. Unless you are using it to counter and over pumped support warrior, it really will only ever net you a swing of at most 4 in team power. Hell Flash gives you 5 and has a laughable requirement and a low turn cost. Super Kamehameha might have a higher turn cost and a timing requirement but for one more chi you can obliterate a team. Both those Techs are SR worthy, Big Bang Attack is something I don't want to pull.
Until we see Super Kamehameha, it's the best destruction technique there is.
Do you mean until we play test and see how Super Kamehameha fits, or until they preview it and we know its effect, because it's already been previewed?
I just can't wait to attack, have a team of SSJ Gohan block and use Super Kamehameha, then counter by Deathballing the user. That's going to rock my world.
And that is why if Frieza has a DB, and some chi you tread very lightly, or have something to get rid of the DB

I just love ppl who try and play final form frieza with death ball, I can't wait till a style gets a hand discard that will be amazing to watch, "oh you spent all this time trying to get to your precious FF? Well discard it lol now you have dead cards." i just don't see death ball as good, and very very soon everyone will know it. right now while the game is young it lasts until turn "oh whatever i stoped keeping track at 9", but soon it will be like I swing for game turn 6. Cards like super kamehameha will be considered bird cage lining, and that is when this game will be really really good imo. the turn cost on techs will slow it down but hell flash shows us that it will happen eventually.
I personally hate to think if it goes the other way and they try to keep the game at I win on turn 15. I like how fast naruto has gotten, wish DBZ would get faster, at the moment takes forever to play a tournament.

So bassically you want the game decided on a missed two drop

Hypergeometric Distributions! ...and resisting power. 3 random chi and it's my favorite color. I really do want to see the game go faster but I also want a better resisting power. 2 random chi. That would be AMAZING. Right now that card isn't REALLY worth playing (my opinion...not fact) because not many people play more than 2 or 3 destruction techs and this card just ends up sitting in your hand. and when your opponent does play a destruction tech you don't even have 3 chi!

This game is naturally going to have to be longer then Naruto, the game will not be as popular if warriors like SSJ Anything, Frieza, Buu, Cell are limited in field time because the game ends turn 6. The addition of Trash should make game time shorter as there are more ways to finish an opponent that keeps drawing blockers

tournaments at least don't take nearly as long as the old dbz card game, tournaments for that game were an all day event, at least like 8 hours

Well lets break it down. Both techs are Action cards and require a DB to use. Death ball needs 3 Alien chi, whereas Big Bang attack needs 2 Alien chi and one other. Since most of the Alien decks you see these days are mono it shouldnt be a problem to pay the 3 third chi cost for Big Bang attack making them virtually the same.
I agree with you that Death Ball is harder to use since only Freiza FF can use it and SS Vegeta is so much easier to get out, but if we're talking about card potential it really just depends on the situation. If you opponent has already used their wish, Id say Death Ball is better. You can take their lead Cell 2nd Form, SS Goku, etc. and move them to the top of their planet. Then when you win the victory they are forces to discard the top 2 due to FFF's Fierce 2. Making whoever their lead was that much harder to potentially get back. Sure Big Bang attack gives potentially two damage to anyone on their team T4 or lower, but I see more potential from Death Ball.

Also keeping FFF will be harder with when the new wish hits since u can auto get rid of him now .

Thats very true as well, I completely forgot about that. So if we're talking in terms of which is the easiest to pull off its definately Big Bang attack by far. But I still think Death Ball is more devastating.

Definately my point saying is upas becomes more of a burden then a saving grace is more my point for decks that can only upas FFF.

To effectively run a FFF deck you need at least 2x of Third Form and 2x of Final Form if you want to be able to use the techs, not to mention his power
