I was at my local card store and they were having a great deal. If you buy a Naruto or Dragonball Starter Deck, you get a free Naruto or Dragonball playing mat. So, I went ahead and bought one.
I have played Naruto before and am interested in Dragonball. I have some questions.
What would be the best route for getting some cards. I've thought about buying a box, but I would get so many commons and uncommons and maybe not as many of the better rares, BUT I would have a better chance of pulling a SR. How many SRs come in a box? Would it be better to buy singles?
There are two sets out, so how does The Awakening compare to The Warriors Return? I'd like to know which set to actually buy some of; which set has some of the staple cards.
How does this game play with the Naruto CCG? Do my Wish cards still work against Naruto decks? Can I combine Naruto cards with Dragonball cards in my deck?
Thanks a lot for the help.

personaly, I would buy atleast a box of each set, you will get 3SR per box, 4 if your rly lucky (both set are good, but you will mostly make a deck around which SR ur gonna get unless you can trade with friends), yes you can play naruto vs dbccg, but cant mix them both in one deck. an I recomand that you get atleats 2 box of the set thats coming out at the end of the month, cuz it will be da bomb!!

I would wait about 2 weeks before i buy a box. Get set three that is coming out soon. Boxes are the best way to get cards both to use and for trade.
To answer your second set of question, there will be a new rule book that will answer all of your questions. But from what i know is that naruto can only use the last 3 sets and no you can't combine Naruto cards with Dragonball cards into one deck.

Your talking about, Dragonball CCG Series 3: "Destructive Fury."? It comes in 3 weeks? I'll look into it.
3 SR in a box is sweet! Are both Set 1 and Set 2 boxes that way?
If you had to name 5 cards I need to get some of, what would they be? (try to mention non-super rares please)

yeah. that's the set. you should get 3 sr in a box of set 1 or set 2 also.
it depends on what style you want to play. but here are 5 good cards that a lot of people use.
1. super style warrior: turn 0 goku (set 1)
2. alien technique: stomping (set 1)
3. unique warrior: turn 3 king piccolo (set 1)
4. villain technique: four witches technique (set 2)
5. villain warrior: turn 4 android 19 (set 2)
again, it depends on what type of deck you want to make. but those are five good cards. and out of those, only king piccolo is a super rare. there are more good cards, but i tried to pick some that were a wide variety.

Both sets have cards that are really good and really not so good. If your looking for staples, most are from set one. Set 2 has some really good SR but also has some really bad ones. Set one is good all around in SRs.

Currently, they have not released any ruling on Naruto V.S Dragonball. We could get some soon since they plan on holding mixed tournaments later this year. You can not combine Naruto and Dragonball cards in a deck
Thanks a lot for the help.
