Bandai will probably set this up through GamersRoundTable. I would wait for an organized play section to be created before questioning this. Give it a month man ;)

Well, I assume you would have to take tests and go through training, and the rulebook isn't out yet.

It's not all that bad :P What's annoying is you can't organize your tournaments. If it wern't for that then it would be pretty good :D

Yeah I have my hat in the ring as well, and they won't tell me anything - except Kim told me that she was in charge of the volunteers....

Interesting. I wonder if they will do a Meijin rewards program.
That's what I was hoping for as well.....
AND I want to run a classroom event (or whatever it would be called under the "compatible" format) where each player brings a deck each of Naruto and DBCCG, and trades in between matches.....your opponent would be playing the opposite side.....fun!!

Trust me, I have too. Yeah, Kim responded quickly, James can take some time to respond back though, but they both did. I am getting VERY excited. I can't wait for a 'Meijin' boards for this so we can discuss things about OP.

I don't think emailing her right now will prove successful in any attempt to become a meijin. We should wait for Bandai to post the application.

I made the statement on another fourm about OP, and to shorten it up, basicly if they keep the Local Events (ie Ninja Academy's) Mat every week, and a promo(REAL PROMO, not Remake thing)
that would be best for that.
I hope they make things a bit different. I think they need something for the Meijin(or whatever they call us), like a extra Mat, or whatever.

Some people might hate me for saying this but i feel that there should be more effort needed to become a judge then in the past. I know previous games that just had to many judges that it oversaturated the player base and ended up hurting the game more then helping. Yes Judges are very important however it should a previlage to be a judge.

I agree with you 100%. Honestly we don't need anyone who can read becoming a judge. It hurts us, and when the people who just become a judge to get the kits and sell it on ebay, we all look bad, and we all can suffer for that. We had that happen a few times in Naruto.
A while ago I heard we were going to make the test for Naruto a bit harder, and perhaps levels. Maybe those will be introduced with the DB CCG.

Yeah, I remember a lot of Meijin in the Naruto CCG who really didn't put much pride into the game. We all know what happens when you don't keep up with the new rulings, errata's, and special situations. I'm sure there are enough people who are serious about this game in order to get dedicated Meijin.
It would be good if Bandai either increased the difficulty of the test or made levels of judges. The levels could be similar to Upperdeck Entertainments judging system. Thanks for bringing this up Bill, as it's very important :)

totally agree on that the test should be harder.
Evil Jim
03-21-2008, 07:48 AM
Well, Bandai should, and I believe it might be in the works, that there should be TOs and Judges. TOs are just like store owners that want to run tournaments for his/her players. Judges run basic and higher level tournaments.

I am pretty sure there will be, but Meijin do not need them to play. I am a Meijin for Naruto, and I just play fun games, but if I really want to play in a tournament, I just go with my players to anther card store to play in there tournament.

Are you a Meijin? You know that Meijin tournaments to not add to Premier rating. Thats why I don't have them anymore, so my players can have that one more boost in the ratings.

They are meant for fun. You can always have a prize for beating the Meijin. Or you could have a Meijin challenge tournament after the current tournament. There are always some people who do not leave right after the tournament. Those people might be interested in challenging their Meijin for a Matt or a Promo ^^

Yeah, Meijin can play in tournaments(not there own, but others), it doesn't have to be a Meijin challenge. And if you are not a Meijin, why would you care.

Calm down man. Soviet Prince is allowed to express his opinioin of things without people sniping back at him with comments like "why would you care". It's rude and it isn't productive.
I believe that we should all care about Meijin. They are the people that make the tournaments available to the gaming community. Without those adults to run tournaments, we would be left without prize support and without any competative environment.

I am a Meijin. I get a chance to play in normal tournaments. The way that he started it off, was that Meijins could only play in those types of tournaments. That is not true. I think alot of player want to become Meijin just to get free stuff, but when you become a Meijin it about running and helping the game, not playing to become Kage, or a high rank.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. If you do become a Meijin just know that you have to take responsibility of running the tournament and not worry about getting to play.
