I still haven't played anyone competitively but from what I hear from the podcast and others is that you are stupid if you don't play Captured T-4 for the win. If this card is as really as broken as is, will it see an errata? Something like an added "Remove the warrior from the team". Help me out here peeps, I don't wanna have to play Alien to be competitive.

You dont have to play captured, its just that card is stupidly insane. I think I posted somewhere how a T4 captured game generally goes somewhere...
T0 I play goku
T0 you play goku
T1 I play baba, swing I get 2
T1 you play baba
T2 I play roshi, swing I get 2
T2 you play roshi, move a DB to him, and swing, you get 2
T3 I play krillin and swing, I get 2
T3 you play krillin and swing, I give you 2

Current score: I have 6 BRs, you have 4

T4 I play cell, captured your Baba (and by extent her entire team for the turn) and I now make 3 teams of 5+ (Goku/Baba, roshi/cell, and one krillin being pumped by roshi) you only have 1 blocker, so I get 4brs and win.

Thats what set 1 felt like. Either that happened, or the game stalled out until someone dropped both frieza AND goku and made it impossible to rush them -_-

Obviously I worry more about dying on Turn 4, then on Turn eleventy billion, which is why I find captured to be pretty absurd.

Before we look for an errata for captured, set 2 environment should be discovered and played in for awhile to see how captured plays out with the new card pool.

The problem I see is a card like spirit ball is a good answer but cant trigger it right away . If spirit ball could trigger during the strategy step it wouldn't be as over powered .

a generic card saying discard a target tech. and a creation of a 10 card sidedeck will help solve the problem.

You mean event not tech right?

I really don't think bandai will errata it even if it is broken right now. Their usual practice is to make new cards to hurt older ones. Still though, I can see captured becoming less of an issue as the game progresses. Look at Emi in naruto, she blows captured out of the water. Yet no one says shes broken because the game is diverse enough to counter her.

The reason nobody says Emi is broken is because the game has way more cards with far more broken effects than Emi. If you compare the effectiveness of throwing a pebble at a window and throwing a rock at the same window, you'll know what i mean :p I think an errata is the best way to remedy the card. OR Bandai could make a card that lets you get rid of events on your opponents strategy. They should just errata spirit ball to say strategy action.

i agree, but i think the errata should be for spirit ball. captured is pretty fair because of Launch as long as Spirit Ball gets an errata.

Honestly.

Captured is good.

But if you know your opponent is playing it, you should be playing around it.

Emission of the Aura helps too. Especially in Frieza stall decks.

Villain/Super also tends to have enough pump to win some of those early battles and keep the battle rewards from racking up too quickly.

The only time I seem to see Captured decks win that easily locally is when there's two of them up against each other, and the mirror for that matchup is better played out in five minutes anyways, because after turn 4 it becomes a painful game of who can draw and play the most Captured/Stomping/General Blue first.

YA thats what happened to me I played 2 captured in a row after losing my head team and still pulled it out and lone wolf is amazing with one warrior of 7 power.
