The text says...

Target other warrior you control gets +1/+0 and "[Valid] if this warrior is defeated, discard it instead" until end of the turn.

Can someone explain what exactly this means? Im confused because I think it could mean one of two outcomes.

if you use the effect the warrior you used it on goes to discard instead of chi.

Adding to Soviet's post.

If the warrior you target with this effect is defeated in battle and would be sent to the chi area, it is sent to the discard pile instead.

If that warrior were to lose?

No like say you have an injured head warrior, if the were to lose the battle, instead of going to the chi he would go to the discard pile.

Oh so if the warrior were healthy and would lose it still becomes injured, but if the warrior was in injured status and was defeated it would get discarded?

This is much easier to explain through an example.

Example:

You use Wa-024 Frieza's effect on your Wa-001 Goku. Your Wa-001 Goku loses in a battle that turn. Wa-024 Frieza's effect says that if Wa-001 Goku were to lose a battle that turn, then he be sent to your discard. Wa-001 Goku has lost a battle this turn, therefor he is sent to your discard pile.

Sigh, to add to the numerous posts

If you use his effect on say, Goku.

Goku gets +1, but gains that effect. So act as if the Goku gets that effect for the turn.

Which essentially means if he loses (Injure or Die) he goes to the discard.

It's fun answering ruling questions, right? :)

first, you need to forget the Naruto Rules, they don't apply to this game. Alot of the rules for this game are the same, but there are also alot of rules that are different. In this game, when a warrior is discarded due to showdown damage, that warrior card is charged to your chi area, they do not go to the discard pile. The effect of Frieza (wa-024) makes it so that if the warrior targeted with the effect would be charged because of showdown damage, it gets discarded instead.

If you are talking about 100% using death ball i think they ruled only FF can use it and they still havent ruled if you can upas 100%....

Because its obvious you can't wish 100%, but if you ask them in the Q&A they will rule it as no. In less they randomly want it playable and they rule it yes. But with no ruling yet I would say no.

I'm pretty sure they ruled that you CAN Upa's FP, but you have to pay the costs, IE getting rid of Final Form and paying the Chi.
