View Full Version : Requesting assistance: Webmaster help
I don't really traverse any other forums, so I don't have anywhere else to post this. I am working on a website and podcast, and am hoping to find someone willing to help with the website. Even if they're only willing to get the ball rolling, I'd really appreciate it. It does pertain to Dragonball, but I'm not going to advertise the website here or anything. If you're willing to help please PM me and I'll give you more details.
If this post has offended one of the moderators, if you could please give me a better format to post this in as opposed to just deleting it. I'm not trying to advertise a website, or get any publicity, I just need help making it. I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks to everyone in advance.

Why don't you just become an active member at Cyber Realms Gaming? =p
PlayTCG has a podcast.. You could add to their podcast if they are willing to have you..

Well, not to be rude but the level of podcast is just totally different. I've been doing podcasting radio for some time now, mostly editing things for people in my Mass Comm. classes. My podcast has an opening song, background music, video clips for effect, and sound effects throughout the entire show. It's just on a different level of quality than the PlayTCG podcast...
And I'm still looking for my own website to have. It's not like "I want to be a part of something" its more "I want to make this, and make it big" I can't control what I can do on CRG, but I can on my own website. I'm just willing to bring as many people along for the ride as I can get.

Ah I see. I hope Zero doesn't see what you just wrote :p Not too sure how he'll react to those shenanigans.
CRG is coming out with a Radio Station.. If you want to showcase your podcast on the radio station we would gladly slot it.. If you want to run the station I am cool with that too.. We should chat on aim :D

Making your own forum probably won't go all too well. A podcast may or may not. Bandai already is sponsoring PTCG's, so I don't see that going too well.
Right now there really isn't a need for either services.

I agree. Not to mention that PlayTCG has a huge edge on you in the podcast department. You'd be better off supporting their podcast than creating your own. It would probably be better for the DB community as well.
The Radio station at CRGis still another possibility for you. If you have a background in creating podcasts, then you would definitely be able to run a radio station..

Though it did come off a bit rude, you are entitled to your opinion. If you feel you can do a better job, then go for it. Just know that it won't be easy to compete with my podcast, because I have the support of bandai, and the cast is a group of credible people in the DB community.
as for the Forum thing, I'll reiterate what everyone else has already stated, in that you should just join a forum. Making a site seems like it will work out great, but generally doesn't work out as well as you think, unless you are able to build up a loyal community, and have content people will actually want to stick around to see. Thats not something that can easily be done, or be done quickly.

If you would have him, I think it would be a good opportunity for you guys to tighten up the podcast a bit. Make it a little more professional while keeping it still a bit casual. Because at the moment, not everyone is too enthused with listening to you and Bruce argue back and forth for an hour. Also, "Yeah, this card is bad" isn't all that acceptable. If Bandai is supporting you, I would hope they'd rather you try to give each card some equal treatment and find Some use for it. Otherwise, why would people buy packs when they can just purchase the good stuff and circumvent all the "Bad crap cards."

lol... that was funny
The thing about the forum was misconstrued. I just wanted help making a site to post my podcast on. The issue has been corrected.

You quit. I believe this was how it went
"Benji, youi are an hour late, come on we waited"
"Oh, I quit card games, so I'm not going to be on teh podcast"
"..... Benji, we waited for you, and we need a guest"
"Sorry"
"Seriously?"
:\
Do you HONESTLY think I'm letting you back on right away?
Anyway, We are going to have a special guest this week. You all know him as that guy we wait for to post previews 3 times a week, Andy(Texans)! We will be discussing the entirety of DB set 2, maybe a look at what's to come in set 3 (If I can pry info from andy and Tylar) and we will be previewing set 11 naruto cards! you should totaly check it out :]
I sorta feel bad for using Snows thread to shamelessly plug my own podcast, but hey, all is fair in love and war?
I kid, I kid. Good luck snow. I'll stop spamming up your thread now.
Sorry that I offended you Zero. Really hadn't meant to. I just meant that I edit my podcasts, and know how to put backgroud music, it wasn't an insult towards you, this is kind of what I expect to do for a living in a year when I'm done with college, so naturally mine would be a bit more professional. Once again, sorry if I offended you.
