Tins?

does anyone know if there will be tins for this game? if so, what do you think/what the tins to have for promo cards? would you want exsisting cards with alt. art or new ones?

Bandai has not said anything, but they keep making them for Naruto. So, we should see them, but it will probably not be until set 3 or 4.

The set tins were introduced was during Revenge and Rebirth. I'm not certain but was that Set 4? That was when freedori dominated the meta. The tins contained a card that basically broke the game lol..

I think tins will be on next year’s agenda after set 3 or 4.
I want them to do have Goku SS, Frieza FF and Picollo be the candidates for the first tin wave. (with different effects)
Here is what effects I think they should have:

Goku [Super Saiyan]
Turn 6 | 2 super chi cost | Super Warrior

Sorry if effects are worded wrong, but I think those are good watered down effects for tins.

nice, but I'm sure that Piccolo won't be getting super heal/recovery since he isn't a saiyan and that sub-effect seems to be only for the Saiyan characters

I think Picollo should have super heal since he can like regenerate his body parts...but probably that is considered toughness.

I would say Toughness too since when he regenerates he doesn't become stronger. Only the Saiyans become stronger when they are healed (both in the anime/manga and this game)

perhaps. but no matter what there will always be 2 tins that come with goku and vegeta. :rolleyes: in naruto, every set of tins had a naruto and sasuke tin.

Frieza is already powerful enough as it is...and I think that giving him this effect would just make him TOO powerful. Maybe if you modified it to say that "Each "Human" Warrior with a turn cost of 5 or less that battles this card gets -2/-2 until the end of turn." I say this because Saiyans in the manga and anime really weren't that fearful of Frieza, because of their pride. Only the humans really cowered. Plus, without a turn cost stipulation, he'd be unbeatable (almost) one on one.

I don't think that would make him too powerful, but I fixed it to be a turn 4 cost or less. (but still human and saiyan) In the anime, Vegita was pretty much scared of frieza when he died...lol. Most of the other saiyans under frieza's control were scared as well, thats why most obeyed him, and the others perished (bardock, King Vegita...etc.).

I think the effect I fixed him with will make him powerful, but not as powerful as the other frieza FF. The other frieza targets all T3 or less warriors and they get -2/-2. This one only effects T4 cost or lower Saiyans and humans. (there are a bunch of other character traits out there not effected by this.)

What I am saying is that the currect set was Frieza saga focused...the upcoming set (currently) seems to be Red Ribbon Army focused. There are still DOZENS of other ways to take set 3, 4 and so on. There is no GARUNTEE that GT will become the focus of set 3. For all we know, the focus of set 3 could end up being Buu...or any of the movies.

Does nobody actually read anymore. Time and time again it has been said, that this game is not following the time-line of the manga or anime. So, any character can appear in any set...what was said, is that the FOCUS of the set is what counts. Set 1, the focus was Frieza. Set 2, the focus is RR...so sure...GT might have SOME appearance in set 3, but I doubt it will be the FOCUS.

Mostly it's going to focus on certain sagas. The first two sets are only going to be Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z, so you probably won't see any Dragon Ball GT until series 3. I think we are going to be focusing on specific storylines and sagas [in expansions]. So, in the initial expansions you will see Cell, Frieza, Piccolo and many other main characters. You'll also see the androids, from the cell saga. So yeah, we are going to focus on particular storylines

Sorry...I was unclear about that. I meant that each set has a hero and villian focus to it. Set 1 being Goku and Frieza. Set 2 being Gohan and Cell. By focus, I mean that these heroes and villians are the main super powers in their set.

yeah I thought about that but if you'll notice it hurts him to regenerate so shouldn't he have like death heal?
