Closest Match

Not sure if anybody else has really had any close matches yet or anything, but just wanted to post since the game I played yesterday was CRAZY. 1st game I hit my curve and won, 2cd game he hit his curve and won, 3rd game we BOTH hit our curves. I was playing like Super/Alien and even though my deck is tempo he managed to stall things out and basically he only had 4 warriors on the field while I had 5 (one of them Baba) and he had FF on the field. He couldn't make a wish since he put ALL his coins on Piano and I dropped "Frieza's Henchman" to bounce him with like 6 DB coins. I used Baba and kept doing this:

Pay random, charge top, look for captured...



I ended up playing 3x Captured with like the last 11 cards of my deck while he kept dropping another Warrior like every other turn for chumps and I only had one card left in the deck. I ended up ripping a T0 Goku topdeck for GG because I needed one more warrior to swing with a 2 suppot behind.




It was insane since he had Fierce eat up 2 cards constantly and dropped a warrior right before I had GG and I let him get to 9 PD. I ended up with Upa's Wish to grab a cell to chump and use as support. I just found it funny that I had to use all 3x Captured's for game and a 1-of Frieza's Henchman. Having the one Goku left in my deck was luck, since next turn he was going to swing back at my and drop "Power of the Instinct" since that would've been the last PD I won on him and he would've drew it for GG. Post any crazy games you've had lately, I don't think there's too many but feel free to post.

Yeah. It happened to me yesterday, too. I won the 1st. I had to go down to 4 cards in the 2nd and lost. And in the 3rd, it came down to us not knowing that I had 9 PD until it was my turn and he had only 2 teams and I had 3 and won.

I got the Tournament mat!!!

In a friendly game, my friend and I played one game that lasted almost 2 hours :eek: I was playing Villain while he played Unique, he played Threat of the Evil Tribe and I had Journey in play so we were constantly cycling cards. I was able to stall with Pilaf and the Androids (Senzu Bean ftw :D), but he eventually won 10-9 by using Beam Cannon on Pilaf twice :p

In the tournament I won today, round one against my teammate was really close.

Game 1: I win, he gets bad draws and I am using Mono Alien
Game 2: He wins, I got bad draws and he is using mono unique and hitting everything he could ever need.
Game 3: I have control til i overlook his king kai and play mistake by swinging, and a few turns later i lost.....
But I got the win over him in top 4 and got the tourney win for the Super Saiyan Mat.

Round 1 was more i guess close for my friend but w/e.

Cool, I won the tournament, but we only had 4 ppl that played and he already knows I have a billion Naruto mats and the 3 other people didn't have any, so he just gave out a random SS Goku mat (which I didn't get). V_V



That was the only exception for the prize thing being random, hopefully I'll be able to get 1st next week and win that Tournament mat, SS Goku is okay but not that great, than the rest are kind of bad.

and that last game was really close only i didnt win he won i was stalling him bcause i kept drawing weak warriors and then i pull out vegeta and im about to blast his field to heck and gone and he pulls a super holy water with two in the grave he injured my vegeta and took his turn and orgainized i used oolongs wish and messed up his hand and then he organized to get 2 pds and destroyed my warriors and then i needed to draw a warrior and i didnt but it was so close b cause i had 9 of his pds

EDIT: Yes, I know the thread asks for "match" but we haven't started tournament play yet, and all of our "matches" outside tourny play consist of one game.

Piccolo didn't turn out as good as I thought, and was hoping for a little bit better version of one. Frieza is okay, but not really that great. SS Goku is good; but not amazing, I can live without it and I bet we'll get better mats next kit. DB Tournament Mat is pretty cool, only one I really would like to have.

My closet match occurred when my friend Rudy and I had to play in his closet to hide from his mom so that she wouldn't be angry that he had spent so much money on Super Rare prismatics. It was hard to see and we only had one flashlight to pass back and forth.

Edit: I thought the thread title said closet matches, not closest. My story was not about a closest match because I beat his mono-Earth deck very badly.

i had a match where I couldn't do anything against his big team exept chump block and I have 7 pd with only 2 teams. For like 4 turns he didn't notice it (because if he broke up his main team and formed 3 team he would have won) until after I topped my Goku (Super Saiyan) and played it and Frieza's Last Wish to make him a 9/4 and started owning his field. He was upset after he figured it out. I got lucky

I may just be reading this wrong, but how did you captured two turn 5 warriors and use stomping with only 16 chi. Doing that would cost 25 chi, as I said I may just be reading your post wrong.

no bcause it would take 14 chi and then a stomping because it takes only the amount of the entrance cost and plus 1 alien and stomping could use the rest:cool:

Captured is Alien X X so it costs 11 Chi to captured a 5 drop.

X= Chi cost so X=5
So, X X= 10
+ the 1 Alien Chi
=11 Chi for a 5 drop.
x2 for 2 5 drops
=22 Chi
+3 for stomping
=25 chi.

I might have just captured one of the guys on friezas team sorry for the confusion the TO was watching so im sure if i messed up i would have been called on it .
