do you think that instead of turn drop, you drop a warrior depending on how many dragonball's you have. If you look at this card the turn count is inside a dragonball.

I also like the idea of only being able to drop a warrior if you have that many warriors on the field like goku's is 6 you have to have 6 warriors on the field to play.

That would make for an interesting style of play. I'm really leaning towards the warriors-in-play rather than the Dragonballs idea though.

the dball idea is more of a theory then an idea, but I don't think there going to do that becuse the dragonball may get broken due to a player getting hold of more dballs.

I guess if it did work that way people would play from "Wish" cards and they wouldn't sit in binders and sideboards all the time.

That's the style the original Japanese version of Naruto had before turn drops.....

The card to me looks like it may require a "chakra" (whatever that is in this game) payment, based on the two symbols next to the turn drop - a mech kiped from SHIPPUUDEN......

EDIT!!
WAITAMINUTE!! I was just looking at the other cards in another thread, and that resisting card has a different color for the "cost" next to (what might be) the run drop!! And it's got a number in the spot. The other cards have symbols. Hmmmmmm.....

that is a nice theory of the dball drop, but it can make the game go too fast or too slow and then the game might not keep the tempo and thats just unappealing

Don't think that's the case, seeing as how there's a dragon ball next to his text....perhaps you have to have one to use his text? But I don't think the "Dragon Ball Drop" is viable...

Awsome!! I ust replied over there....

yeah your right the dball theory does not hold much water now, I am still hoping that there will be some kind of fight for the dballs between the 2 players

He speaks the truth...

I would imagine that they will stick with the turn drops for Dragon Ball. It is, in a sense, a lot more logical than the Dragon ball theory. Assuming that they are hoping to make players feel like the characters, like they are making their own story over and over again with the characters they love and know, then saying that Super Saiyan Goku (at least the one released initially) cannot come into play until turn 6 makes perfect sense.

In the show, it took a long time to build up to him finally going Super Saiyan. If instead of making him only playable late game you had to have 6 Dragon Balls out... Well, I believe you can see why that simply isn't logical. Within the context of the show, when characters come into play has little or nothing to do with how many Dragon Balls the main characters have, but rather the timing (represented in this case by turns) of the show.

Nah, I wouldn't close it, because at some point in the next few months someone else might have the exact same idea. When they do, we can point them to this thread to add their thoughts to our drawn conclusion, etc.

or when the rules get realeased this will be a thread to discuss warrior drops plus we can still speculate on how the drop system will be used.

considering that this game will be compatible with naruto ccg, i think that they'll maintain the drops by turn, the dragonball in which there's a six inside, it's like the shuriken on naruto, it's a design question.

and from where did you get this image? it's oficial? not that i'm doubting someone, but i'm new to the forum...

TCGplayer is a pretty reliable source... I believe it is an actual card. Of course, with the game being 3 months away they could easily change it as I would imagine they are doing intense testing right now.

I hope they are putting that much effort into the game. I'd still like an official ensorsement by Bandai to confirm then but I'll give in and say they are real.
